Count me in as one in the fast forwarding crowd. What a waste of time that whole first hour or so was. It is because of shows like this one that helps me remember, yet again, just how handy a DVR really is.

I am happy for Olate dogs/owners. And, even if they did not win I think Tom Cotter and Earth Harp will do quite well for themselves as a result of appearing on AGT.

We plan on FF also. Could get thru the regular weekly results in <15 min that way.

Now that I know who won...might skip it. Vegas is NOT a family show place. Limited audience (even with all the local families, they do not like to go to the strip. Perhaps if they are at the Henderson Pavilon or Red Rock Events Center, or Thomas & Mack - UNLV's arena). Tom can perform as a headliner on any of the casino stages that have regular comedian acts (Mirage, South Point, etc).

We thought the best headlining/permanent show act was William Close (Earth Harp). THAT was a Vegas show. Guest appearance by Joe Castilo for one musical number, and then David Garibaldi for another (more upbeat song). Perfect show.

We also couldn't watch because too much was on, so I'm wondering whether to bother catching up on hulu, where fast forwarding is a bit cumbersome.

I saw that the dogs won (yey!), did they announce a second and third place? Was there anything worth watching?

Awww I'm disappointed about the dancers being last, I thought they were really talented, especially as some of them were so young.

Thanks for the full results, Pam :-). I think I will just delete the show from my hulu list!

news from the most successful AGT winner:

http://www.facebook.com/#!/TerryFator

Some exciting news--I've signed a once in a lifetime deal (okay second in my lifetime) to perform here at The Mirage Hotel and Casino until at least the year 2016. The new deal starts Janaury 1st and we will now be on stage Monday – Friday nights.

Taylor and I are thrilled about this. To be able to do what you love on stage night after night is a dream come true and we look forward to many many years of putting on our show.

And great reaction from my cast. Duggie dropped his medicinal brownie, Walter said this proves he can create 1 new job and and Vikki said she would celebrate with a 5 course meal and a 4 star general.
...
Don't worry I'll still be touring around the country during by days off so I hope to see you in your hometown and of course here in my home, the Mirage in Las Vegas.

-Terry

I see Rosie ODonell is in talks to judge.I miss and love Rosie. As long as she doesnt talk politics Id love her to take Sharon's place.

AGT Finalist (2011), Murray Sawchuck, has a magic show and is a regular in Las Vegas. Murray Celebrity Magician show was at the Tropicana this week.

Funny, closeup magic, small illusions (stage pretty small). Just an hour show but it was only $20 for general admission. Early show, family friendly (there were kids in the audience).

We'll probably see it again with friends when he comes back in April.

Mel B (Melanie Brown, Scary Spice), formerly of DWTS and other shows, is to be the judge replacing Sharon Osbourne.

Wow, I've already skipped last season and this makes it magnitudes easier to skip again.

Wow, we are both right.. how strange.. I mean at least Mel B is a performer.. but both will be judges.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/03/heidi-klum-americas-got-talent_n_2802642.html

quote:

Heidi Klum has joined the judging panel of "America's Got Talent." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Klum will officially be announced as the fourth "America's Got Talent" judge on Monday, March 4.

TMZ obtained a photo from the "America's Got Talent" set in New Orleans that features the four seat judge panel with Klum's name.

Kium will sit on the panel alongside returning judges Howard Stern, Howie Mandel and new addition Mel B of the Spice Girls.

Sharon Osbourne served as judge last season, but quit in a very public fashion.

Request for confirmation from NBC regarding Klum's addition to the series was not immediately returned.

Wonder how they will break ties in their voting?

3 Penny Orchestra sounded great. Liked Catapult and Hype too. I think Heidi and Mel B are doing a good job. Nice chemistry between the judges.

Me too. I was never a fan of Sharon. I liked seeing the two women call crap crap. This show needs judges to be brutally honest.

The guy called "Special Head" was amazing!

When he first started making those noises, did anybody else get reminded of Sheldon's "throat singing" on Big Bang Theory? LOL

OMG, I KNOW one of the acts going through to Las Vegas. Ironically, he lives here in Las Vegas. Tristan Jih is my yoga/gymnastic coach at my Crossfit gym. I knew he did aerial work (we have the equipment hanging from the rafters in our gym and there is a group of folks who workout on the ribbon/wraps during the day when we don't have our Crossfit workouts). Tristan also dances.

He never said a word about it (guess there was some non-disclosure requirement????, I'm going to ask him about that next Monday).
