It looks like Kate is returning to her roots.
I'd love to get coupon advise on hair extensions, spray tan, Jimmy Choos, sports cars etc.
What do you think this sort employment pays, more than a nurses salary?

I read in one of the gossip mags today that Jon is really angry. It seems one of the camermen that used to film the kids has been arrested for having child porn. Jon is furious and is trying to find out if there are any pictures of his kids in his child porn portfolio. It wasn't a big article but I know I wasn't dreaming when I read it as I was walking on the treadmill and the Y. Has anyone else seen it. There was nothing on the cover about the article but don't remember which magazine it was. When I go back tomorrow I will check it out. He said he hasn't spoken with Kate about it as they have very little communication.

Wow, that's scary. I looked online for some articles, and it's not a cameraman, it was an editor who has never actually been in the presence of the children. But it's possible he could have some video of the children.

Sammi, I heard the tail end of that story on the news yesterday. Not only did he work on Jon and Kate but also on several other shows and I think one was The Duggars show.

Why are there so many perverts out there?!? They should be made to spend their sentences in public places with signs to identify them and allow the public to spit on them. Years and years of public humiliation and spit. That's just the start of what I'd do to them

LOL.. I knew that bit about the editor would surface HERE.. but realize that the scumbag also was just as involved with a number of other shows, like the Duggars and I think the family with 12 kids, Table for 12. And I hope he has to pay dearly. Just so cringe-worthy and I hope they do a better job of vetting the people with access to these (or any) families, video or whatever.
Fire ants would be a good thing, yes.

Personally, I am relieved it was an editor that had no physical contact with any of these children from the shows (according to about 6 of the articles I have read).

I'm not laughing about this horrible person.. but I read the article a few days ago and predicted that it would be reported in this thread, not the others (not that we have Party of 12 real active, I guess.
Actually the one I read seemed to list even more shows.. all involving young children. I'm glad this was discovered and hope some of these families sue him if that is possible. And I hope whatever state he lives in isn't in our situation out here in California where prisons are dumping people on the jails which are then just putting them out.. not just Lindsey Lohan but it is said that the doctor convicted in the Michael Jackson death, once sentenced, may not spend nearlyh enough time behind bars 
Trust me I don't find what he has done to be the least bit amusing.

Yes, the articles I have read list quite a few shows with children where he is involved in editing, but my point was that at least he wasn't in their homes interacting with the children. I am relieved about that fact. What he did was horrible, unforgivable, but thank goodness he wasn't actually near the children of these shows.

Kate Gosselin to host Royal Caribbean cruise?
Want to sail away with Kate Gosselin?
The 36-year-old reality TV mom, who appeared with her eight children on the TLC show "Kate Plus 8," is the featured celebrity guest on the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Allure of the Seas.
The week-long trip begins on August 12. The ship is set to depart from Fort Lauderdale in Florida and visiting Labedee in Haiti, Falmouth in Jamaica and Cozumel in Mexico before returning to the United States on August 19.
Guests can meet Gosselin at a private welcome cocktail party, take photos with her and join her for a barbecue, brunch and charity dinner. She will also take part in a book signing. He latest publication, "I Just Want You to Know: Letters to My Kids on Love, Faith, and Family," was released in April 2010.
The cheapest cabin room, which spans 179 square feet, costs $1,900 for two people. The most expensive accommodations for a couple consist of a 287 square foot junior suite and costs $3,175.
Gosselin recently laughed off rumors that she received a facelift, addressing the issue at her new blogging gig.
"I will confirm that I have not had one," Gosselin wrote on her CouponCabin.com blog. "I am only 36! But, I will take all of the talk about how rested and young I look as a compliment! So thanks!"
According to Us Weekly magazine, Gosselin had a tummy tuck in 2007 and breast implant surgery in 2009. In June, she reportedly gave herself Botox injections.
In November, CouponCabin.com announced that Gosselin would serve as a contributing blogger, offering money-saving advice. The mother of eight returned to the job market after her TLC reality series "Kate Plus 8" ended.
TLC announced on August 15 that "Kate Plus 8' would end on September 12 after 150 episodes, adding that the network "hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future."

eek I would be afraid to do that but, I wonder how many nurses get the drug & do it to themselves and other people. I bet that happens a lot...if they can get it. Must be like any other drug, where there is a demand someone will be selling it.

The Cruise Critic boards are lit up over this. Many said they would cancel their cruise if they found out she was going to be on it. (No specific date given at time).

I'm honestly not trying to be mean saying that. It just seems to me from what I've seen that she is the kind of person who finds negatives in a lot of things and is very outspoken about it. Which just isn't much fun.

I have been on cruises with celebrities and you don't have to go to their programs. Just do your own thing. There are so many people on a cruise that the odds of you running in to her accidently are slim.

Very true but my understanding is that a key point of a celebrity cruise (promoted as being hosted by the celebrity) is the opportunity to spend some time with the celebrity.

I don't know. The ones we have been on were sports people and they gave a talk in the lounge everyday and you could chat with them afterwards if you wanted. They didn't hang out with us though. Possibly very different having her on there. Who knows.

I have to add that we didn't know there were going to be "celebrities" on the cruise when we made our reservations. It wasn't set up as a special cruise.

We were on the inaugural cruise of the old Royal Princess. We were notified well in advance there was going to be a 2 hour movie filmed by the Love Boat group...in case we wanted to back out. The celebs were Lana Turner, Stewart Granger, Haley Mills, the boy group with Ricky Martin age 12, Elizabeth Ashley, Ann Baxter and all the Love Boat actors. We had a grand time and were extras in a few scenes. I still have the video of the movie. It was a blast, but like someone said upthread, you seldom see anyone accidently. These ships are huge and just swallows up crowds.

If you want to be part of the 'Kate theme' onboard, then your cabin price will be quite a good bit more. Only those who pay for the privilege will actually get to see her! Apparently she's going to have a whole mess of security (surprised?) and those cruisers who want no part of it *will* be affected because her events will close off parts of the ship they may want to use. And they move around, using different facilities from day to day. She hasn't decided which of the kids (if any) she'll take along.
