Season 23 started last night after the Oscars with a special episode.
All I can say is Carrie could practically pass as a drag queen. Her face and hair are so over-done it ridiculous IMO. And I'm not talking about anything that has to do with her split upper lip injury. Her bottom lip, though, is far too plumped and I posted about that when she first did it. Her whole face just looks weird in this first ep.

I'm watching! Well, I'm still catching up. I am on Hollywood week 2, then one more and I'll be caught up.
My fav so far is Breanna, chunky blond that looks just like her Mom.

Okay, I watched a bit last night because nothing else was on. Got through 2 songs… the girl who sang Chappell Roan was not good. Just went back and forth between channels after that.

I finally watched one of the episodes that I had recorded and to be honest I was pretty amazed at how good it was. The singing was very good. I really like Breanna and John. Both are really talented. John has a certain youthful confidence about him that’s very appealing.

Well, I’m surprised. I thought all along that he was the best singer, but the best singer hardly ever wins. He doesn’t fit the stereotype of American Idol winners in the past few years. This was nice to see.

I felt like the family segments and song choices were geared, more for a voting response for John and Breanna. It was annoying me to no end.
