To me the "ship" sounded like Annie Lennox or Carly Simon, but I think they would be too old to be besties with Jewel.
No clue on anyone else.

I totally missed that this has started again. Same judges? I haven’t watched the last few seasons. Is it still fun to watch?

It's still fun to watch, but they've added so much extraneous stuff that show is quite bloated. I miss the simplicity of the first few seasons.
Nicole Scherzinger is still gone doing her musical, and Rita Ora is still her replacement.
