Well, Chayce made it through, but awillie will probably win.
Anyone notice that Just Sam isn’t in the finale at all.

I think the most marketable singer won. It’s the country vote, like on the Voice that votes religiously.

I'm super happy with the outcome, although I'm still a little disappointed that Casey didn't make final 3, I think she had more talent than Grace.

Just Sam,I forgot about her. I wanted a Cayce/Casey finale but I was fine with any of the final four.

I didn't think Grace sounded as good as the judges did on her 2nd song. I agree with you, Snoopsmom. Hubby and I said the same. She was pitchy in parts and a little screechy on the high notes. Perhaps the nerves got her.
I think Willie deserved to win. He has the best voice, but I think touring would kill him. The music industry is very different than it used to be. People don't buy albums like they used to back in the day. The only way you can make any money now is to tour and hopefully sell out some big venues. Chayce will be great at that. Willie has a beautiful voice. Perhaps he will make some records and do a guest spot here and there, but until he works on his health and loses some of the weight, I don't think he could withstand the rigors of a touring schedule.
We still hope Casey gets some opportunities. She was DH's favorite. Very talented!

I think Willie already lost a lot of weight before AI ( Over 100 pounds)but hopefully he can afford a trainer or something to help him even more.

Heckagirl it’s just not as big of a deal as it once was. Even when they’ve announced the winner these last few years it’s almost done so with a yawn. They made a bigger deal of The Masked Singer than they did with American Idol.

They announce the winner, that person sings and the show is over. We use to see the family and the other contestants surround the winner now it is just over.

Only one of the first six winners was a white male but after that it definitely turned very white male heavy. And three of the first six were not white...not many after that male or female...

You have to add in COUNTRY. Country music fans seem to be voting most. This winner was local, here in SoCal, where voters are disenfranchised, so any voting from here would be just for a person, not based on current performance.
I stopped watching any of these shows with this sort of voting, and where it is so much about the judges. I don't watch, but the news here covers it heavily. Looked like the winner cut back on the hair grease.

I just read that Willie Spence was killed in a car crash on Tuesday in Tennessee. He was the runner up. Only 23. Such a shame.
