And this is starting tonight as well. I'll have to get the old DVR into heavy duty action. One of my favorite parts of this show is the blind auditions.

This year the blind auditions seem to have a lot older songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s. I like that.

Any standouts in particular so far this season?

I liked quite a few, but only a couple are coming to mind right now. The guy with long dark brown hair that sang "Dancing in the Moonlight". He played guitar, too. His name was Madison. And that pretty and really young girl that sang "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry. Chevel. She's 16.

I am enjoying this season a lot. My faves this season are Tyke, Kameron, Mikele, Patrique, Kennedy, Kymberli, Claire. Really solid performers this season. Loving the judges and I find Kelly Clarksons enthusiasm infectious. I think it really helps that two of the judges have been where the performers have been. It is so much better than Idol. I absolutely love the fact that they dont pad the auditions with people who just want attention and cant sing a lick.

I enjoy this show as well. My one qualm about it (which I've stated over and over again) is their seeming inability to ever produce a star whereas other shows like AI and X-Factor have been successful in that respect.

I don't enjoy the blind auditions. To me the judges seem to make it more about them than the talent they are judging. I love Kelly but she does talk too much. I start watching during the battle rounds.

I agree that more than anything this show is about the judges and not about showcasing and producing a star. Unlike AI or X-Factor, on this show, the contestants are supporting players. Fortunately, they have entertaining and talented judges on the Voice. All of the Voice judges are performers and they certainly do perform.

I may as well just give it up. My last favorite went home today. Anthony. And it was still the knock-out rounds.

I think when they only show part of a performance, it is a good indicator that they are leaving. Sheesh.

I said the same thing, Carlpsmom. It sure takes the suspense out of waiting for the "difficult decision"!

I may as well just give it up. My last favorite went home today. I've long given up cheering for contestants on this show. The show doesn't care about them and all they end up being is a footnote (even the winners). Believe it or not I still enjoy the show but for other reasons. There are some good performances and I enjoy the judges performing and the banter and good humor. I just don't bother cheering for anyone anymore because I always end up disappointed.

In the same boat as Jimmer. I just listen to the music and do other things. I do enjoy some of the performances. A number of years ago, Adam was interviewed the season after one of his contestants won and was disappointed because his 'winner' didn't seem really interested in doing what needed to be done to move forward in his career. Just took the check and moved on. So, there might be some of that going on too. Also, the Voice is not really backed by a production studio, like some of the other singing competitions. So, those who win still need to do some work to progress their career. It's not going to magically happen just because you won.

I've never watched a singing competition show and voted for who I think will become a star. I never even think about that. I have only voted for who is entertaining me the most on the show. But that doesn't keep me from having a favorite, or hoping my favorite wins.

Last night was really a good show, even without my fav there. I like Kelly's team a lot, especially young Chevel that sang the Judds "Grandpa, Tell Me About the Good Old Days". It was a night where I knew most of the songs, which in turn makes it more enjoyable.

It was interesting. They just plowed through everyone without much additional backstory. There are some good singers there, so I'm wondering who will go through.
