I think Alex or Sam will be the next to go. I'm firmly in the Caleb to win camp!

Jena is my favorite so of course I want her to win. But I think it will be Caleb winning and Jena in second. I can still hope she will win :-)

Thanks Naja. I won't get to see it until tomorrow evening but it sounds like it was a good show. My concern is that I have to admit I don't know the songs that Jena picked but maybe lots of people like them.

I don't recognize the name of Jena's first song (might recognize it if I heard it), but of course I know Valerie from Amy Winehouse singing it..

Nope, don't recognize the first song from the clip on Amazon. but, I'm old ...

What?? No comments on Caleb's song Still Of The Night by Whitesnake? It was awesome!!! As much as I love Jena, I think AI may finally crown a rocker as the winner.

Sam should go but unfortunately it will probably be Alex. His voice is so pure. Still not feeling Jen, I guess I won't at this point. Really Caleb and Alex are the only ones I think are worthy of the title.

Alex's second song was my favorite. I also loved the Jena/Sam/Alex trio. Caleb was great, as usual. Still hoping for a Jena/Caleb final 2 and hope Jena wins.

I have to say that Jena Irene has really progressed for me. Her and Caleb seem the most comfortable on stage. Jess seems stiff every time she sings. So does Alex and Sam.

Even if doesn't end up winning, Caleb can always apply for the job as Whitesnake's lead singer when David Coverdale finally retires (he's 62) - Caleb's voice is a virtual clone of Coverdale's.

I am really crossing my fingers if this show is on next year, that they take a cue from DWTS and go to one show per week. They may have to.

Game-changer, they are asking all of the idols to make a very difficult decision.

The choice given to the final five is to:

1. Let the lowest vote-getter go home as usual

or

2. No one goes home this week, but two go home next week.

They each have one vote, but it has to be unanimous. Ryan passes out ballots.

3 votes to keep the group together and not send one home this week. 2 votes to send someone home...

LOL and we don't know who but maybe can guess.

Jennifer is surprised, but since it wasn't unanimous, Sam is going home tonight.

I think two confident contestants decided, why give someone another chance?

Is no one watching this on the east coast? The show also included Randy's opinions on the performances.

Yeah, I watched.

That was wild. I thought for sure they would all vote yes to nobody going home tonight, and 2 next week.

The only one I am sure that voted yes to keeping them together was Caleb. Because right before the break he was trying to talk them all into voting yes.

I think maybe a couple of them remembered history. Every time it was a week where 2 go home, one of them was always a complete shocker that didn't deserve to go.

Oh well, I do think it was Sam's time.

Not seeing it, I thought like you did, that they would all vote to keep everyone there.

Oh that is interesting! About Caleb.

I don't blame them, for sure.

I thought Caleb would have been one of the no's because he was a sure bet to say this week. I thought Jessica was in trouble this week. I'm a little surprised Sam went home.

I thought for sure they would vote to stay too. Not surprised Sam went home though.
