I don't watch this like I used to, but have it on tonight. This show just seems so juvenile to me after watching The Voice. I used to be such a fan, but not anymore. Sorry for the complaint.

honestly, I stake my claim on my post from last wk......."sings so out of tune that I'm embarrassed for them"..........I did not like it but the judges do. At least, Harry did say something about the "being out of tune".

Malaya seems out of tune or "thin"..no mellow. And I have no memory of that song.. no depth in her voice tonight and I think she may have it. Last week in her duet she actually ramped it down and didn't screech.. didn't screech tonight but it wasn't that pleasant and I'm not up to CJ yet and not looking forward to it.. I definitely wouldn't have recognized David Cook.. I'm not feeling like I'm in the 80's.. But maybe they couldn't get permissions.. http://rb101182.hubpages.com/hub/Top-100-Songs-of-the-80s

Caleb killed "Faithfully" by Journey!! I feel certain he's our AI winner this year. I loved how Harry suggested that Sam google Ricky Nelson. For one, Sam looks a lot like a young Ricky Nelson and second, Harry wanted Sam to learn how to look at a camera and the audience when singing.

Police.. but yikes on the first attempt at singing it! Better in performance, though different... Harry making a point of being an entertainer vs being a performer.. "coffee house performance". And I love Harry calling CJ and Malaya's duet "regional theatre".

I was not a fan of how Jena changed up my Joan Jett song!

I hate to say it, but I thought both CJ and Malaya were weakest last night. I loved Jena as usual.

From the short snippets that I saw, I thought David Cook was a good mentor. He certainly was able to pinpoint issues and how to address them like a record producer might do. It made me wonder what he's doing these days.

I love Joan Jett! I wish they would have her on as a guest judge or performer. I like Jena too, just didn't like her arrangement of "I love Rock n Roll"

I actually LOVED Caleb's rendition of Faithfully. He is a great performer and makes the songs his own. For once I actually enjoyed Alex. But as Harry said, he's always a little 60's coffeehouse for me. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Sam's performance. It's the first one I've actually liked at all. CJ needs to G O. The boy can not stay on pitch, period. He hurts my ears. Malaya needs to be next to go. Dexter, Jena, and Jessica stay in the middle for me. Unless something drastic changes I'm on Team Caleb. In the words of the illustrious Randy Jackson, "He's in it to win it."

Until C.J. finally gets the boot, this season will continue to be an embarrassment to the franchise. He must drive the vocal coaches crazy.

Caleb is the only one with any pipes this year. He's got to win it.

Oh forgot, do you suppose anyone told JLo how stuck up it made her seem when Keith an Harry were out in the audience and she was alone at the judges table?
