I think both of the guys at the end of last nights show will go through. Based on the choice of words Harry used at the end... "It's so hard to pick one" I hope CJ makes it to top 10.

I agree with Mamapors. As much as I like the judges this season (and I greatly enjoyed Harry's opening speech) the whole elevator thing and then the chair and the moaning and groaning and drama is way too much for me. I turned it off after five minutes.

I've also seen 31 on the list of finalists so I think they may very well include both those guys that they ended with. I don't necessarily agree with all their choices but then again I tell myself that only ONE can win so all the others will be eliminated. Last night's show was the most like past shows…..they took the easy way out and used this "old" format. Too bad because it seems as if they are really trying to change and improve shows this year.

Interesting. This year the idol phone numbers are "855" instead of "866".

The article Roxip mentioned seems to indicate that viewers will vote between the two guys

Yeah, the show just ended and they showed the two numbers to dial. That's how I knew they are 855 now.

Yes, they show them each singing again (past performance). They take up almost the whole last 7 or 8 minutes of the show.

So I am guessing one of them gets in and they are the 31st contestant as someone mentioned above. I have seen spoiler lists of the 30. I think. LOL I am not going to check.

I think it goes this way, Mamapors. The spoiler list shows 31. 16 boys 15 girls Tonight we vote between 2 of the boys making the list an even 30. So checking the spoiler list won't show which boy we choose tonight. The spoiler list is all caught up to real time as of tonight and isn't a spoiler anymore.

I can't believe that put that Emmanuel guy in and didn't put Savion in. I do not understand that at all. That Emmanuel guy has gotten on my nerves every time he has opened his mouth.

I think he was cut in the hangar before they actually started Hollywood week, Pamy.

Ohh.. I thought Savion should have been kept.. not sure of the name but the kid who was 15 and Harry told about how he wanted to go to NY at 15.. I could have lost him. And the two guys we could vote for.. I simply don't care and would have put Savion in ahead of either one of them too.

I know they said that Savion wasn't "connecting" when he sang during Hollywood week - could they take into account that his older brother had been murdered (I'm pretty sure I read that it was murder) two weeks earlier?

This morning articles are saying "Rush Week" next week starts with the judges cutting five guys and five girls without even letting them sing again! So 10 girls sing on Tuesday; 10 guys sing on Wednesday. On Thursday the top five guy viewer votes + top five girl viewer votes + three wildcards selected by the judges will go through, so 13 for the next week. Presumably the winner of the last night's vote goes through to the guys' 10?

Kitt, both articles I just read said last night's vote only gets one of them to top 30, not top 13. But I really don't think the judges would slap the voters in the face by instantly throwing out the guy we just voted keep.

I agree, if it doesn't put them into the top 20, then why do the vote at all? But it seems silly because the audience having to choose makes it seems like they are ranked number 15 and 16 in the judges' rankings, but so close we have to decide... if they're then going to choose the top 10 with no more information, wouldn't the 15/16 person automatically be gone along with 11-14?!

I am so glad to see tonight that there is a limit of 50 votes per method of voting----including the toll free phone method. There is now a limit of 50 votes per originating phone number. I'm going to give the google method a try tonight. eta: and to answer your question, Kitt, at the start of tonight's show, they said they judged their 10 choices by watching their rehearsals all week for tonight, not from past performances.
