Yep we called it. Oh well, Carly will do fine. She was on the Electric Company and in the movie, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants II and in Les Miz on Broadway.

What ever happened to that country singer who won a few seasons back? I don't remember his name but he was from the sticks somewhere. I never saw or heard of him again.

Tate wins! NO, I won't buy his music. I said it in earlier posts, country folks are die-hards! This kareoke bar singer now has the chance of a life-time. There are folks just as good & some better singing in bars...........get ready, these folks are going to be all over the talent shows! I'm just saying........I'm done with country music folks trying to dominate me. I'm a clasic Rock & Roll gal.

Kevin Skinner was the country singer I was thinking about. He won AGT 4th Season. I have never heard of him again after he won. They (country) all sound alike now to me.

Hummingbird, are you talking about the country singer on America's Got Talent? I don't think that show markets their winners very well. I have not heard of any of them after the show is over. I enjoy the show for the variety of talent, but I know when the show is over, I will probably never hear of them again, so I don't really get invested in them.

I thought Lee Ann and Carly were not a good pairing. Although Lee Ann has been trying to change her style somewhat, she is still pure country. I thought the duet was a disaster. Their harmony was terrible. It did not do either of them justice. They should have had Carly sing with a young pop star, not a country singer. I wonder if they were trying to cash in on the "country vote."

Country music fans are loyal, but they do not vote for bad country singers. We have seen those kind fall by the wayside many times on talent shows. Tate is incredibly talented. He has just never had a break. I wish him a lot of success.

And country singers have just as much right to compete on talent shows as pop singers do, and country music fans have just as much right to vote for who they like as any other fans do.

And yes, I WILL buy his records. I would not buy the others records even though I do buy pop music.

I am a Country fan, but I do not limit myself. I listen to all kinds of music and I buy what I like whether it is country, pop, R&B, hell, I even own some classical and opera. About the only music I just can't get into is Rap. Maybe if I would listen to it more, I would learn to appreciate it.

Allietex, I like most music too! I, will honestly say that I hate "hard rock" & rap. Other than that, I love all music including clasic.

Tate seems like a sweet guy with a wonderful family and I think he is a decent country singer. I'm still pretty disappointed though that Carly didn't win because I think she is truly exceptional with great potential and I don't think we see that very often. Oh well, AI is coming up and I think I'll give it one more chance but if another guy with a guitar wins I think I'm done.
