I think they have a limit, like 2 steals, at least in this round.
I do like the idea very much for keeping someone in the zhow who is excellent, but just in a very tough pairing..

Yes, the limit is two steals, so it will keep the teams even.

I've not really watched this show in the past, but with Rob Thomas as a mentor I have been taping and watching with a lot of FF. I so adore him and even if I only get to see him for a few seconds, it's worth it.

I still don't get the 'steal'. Won't the stealer end up having a bigger team than someone who doesn't steal at all?

I think with each team getting to steal 2 people the 2 stolen people will have to have a battle round. Not sure though.

I sure enjoy this show. I don't understand why there isn't more chat hear about it. Adam & Celo both have their teams down to 5 ea. & Blake & Christina will take ea of their teams from 10 to 5 tonight. Alot of good singers are going home at this point. Adam actually kept the 2 saves he made last wk over 2 of his original folks. Adam has 4 gals & only 1 guy going into the live shows next wk. Celo has an all male team.

I loved the show last night.
and i agree - adam won't have a winner this year. i actually don't agree with him for choosing his steal's over his original people. i thought his original people were better.
ceelo has an AMAZING team this year. seriously if that kid he's got doesn't win then something went WAY wrong in the season.

Ceelo does seem to have a better team than Adam. Historically, males have a better chance to actually win these kinds of shows. Christine has some really strong singers this season. I'm anxious to hear them tonight. Blake has some good folks as well, but I think I'm getting a little tired of him leaning on country music so hard. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy country music but, I also enjoy the other music that is out there. I really enjoy rock music with a little country hint going on to it. Anyway, I enjoyed last night so much & I'm sure tonight will be just as enjoyable.

I caught the show for the first time last night and loved Loren Allred. I'll be watching it regularily now so I can hear sing. I wish they'd let her sing the full song, the portion they showed was so short I was left wanting more.

Oh good...finally some chatter about last night.  I really enjoy this show, too. It's def my favorite singing show. I love listening to talented people sing, and all of these contestants are so talented.
I don't remember a KNOCKOUT ROUND in the past. Was it new, or am I just blanking out?
Adam chose too many women for his team. I don't think he will win again this season either. I didn't agree with him keeping Joselyn (his first steal) over Kayla, but I did prefer Amanda (his second steal) over Michelle. Not to say that Michelle wasn't super, but Amanda's performance & song choice appealed to me more. Also, I was disappointed that he chose the girl w/ bi-colored hair, Melanie over Sam. I didn't quite understand him even matching them against each other. Actually, I would've matched a lot of his contestants much differently.
Meanwhile, Ceelo definitely seems to want to win this season. He has a very strong team. I think his choices more reflect what the public will like.
Looking forward to more tonight.

I can't believe Blake did not choose the girl who sang lady Marmalade. She killed it. The guy he chose was just ok and not at all memorable.

I think the knockout round was new this year. Last year, they just went from the battle rounds to the live shows. But, this year, they allowed each mentor to start with more people than last year.
What I find interesting is that most of the mentors seem to prefer to bring along the not quite so polished act in order to actually mentor them.

There was commercial on tv for something, not sure what, and I could have sworn the background music was Cee Lo singing Christmas songs. Sure enough, I looked online and Cee Lo just released a Christmas album.
