A number of news sources have reported that Brad and Emily have split. (April 9)
A friend of Emily's has said that Brad would not call Em or return calls for long periods. He bought a home without her knowing. 'Brad’s not acting like a fiancé, and she knows that he’s not going to change. Emily knows in her heart of hearts that the relationship is finished.'

New Bachelorette (Ashley H. from Brad's 2nd season) starts May 23 9-11 PM. The Bachelorette will move to its regularly scheduled timeslot, Mondays from 8:00-10:01 p.m., ET on May 30.

People magazine (July 11) has the happy couple on the front cover and announces "Why Brad Left."
The pictures inside, in the article, show them standing together with tight lipped smiles. I think there is no love loss there.

I think Emily would make an awful Bachelorette. I watched some of the interview tonight (got bored quickly) and got fed up listening to her say "you know" repeatedly. Hardly an eloquent speaker. Oh, yes I know she's upset (LOL) but knowing she's wants to be in the limelight is very telling for her motives if she goes on this show again. And to say that she didn't want to do this (nor did Brad) then she went ahead and did it instead of just letting it die down (which it would have done anyway) just shows that she's after the publicity. I think the 15 mins are up.

Yes, Yes, Yes to all of the above! He could have left her on those "ya knows" alone. Acckkk!! Still so ambiguous why they really broke up.
I really do not want to see her as the next bachelorette. Though, I fear she probably will be and they needed her to appear to soften her image and gain sympathy.

OK just watched the 7/11/2011 interview on the bachelorette and I still don't understand why they broke up. Can anyone tell me I just don't get all the talk but never said anything.

I liked Emily okay when she was on The Bachelor but I'm pretty much over her at this point. She does just seem out for attention. I was disappointed back when I heard it was going to be Ashley this season rather than Emily but now I like Ashley far more than Emily. Funny how things change.
