Hey guys,
Anyone want to discuss spoilers for this season?
Reality Steve has the final four as:
Constantine
Ben from California
JP
Ames
He hasn't yet narrowed down to F2, or declared who he believes to be Ashley's final choice.
Steve also says Bentley will return a few episodes down the road, apparently at Ashely's request in order to resolve the "dot, dot, dot" and get some closure.
I'm kind of glad Steve hasn't posted info beyond F4 as it would be fun to speculate what happens from there.
PS... remember to start your posts with something generic or something that indicates you're posting spoiler info so people reviewing posts from the new messages thread won't see anything they don't want to.

I posted this in the main Bachelorette thread:
I'm going on record as saying I have my money on Ames. Can't wait for her to go on a date with him, which based on previews looks like it will happen next episode. I know there are mixed feelings in the group about Ames' looks -- indeed, sometimes the camera catches him looking somewhat normal and even handsome, and sometimes he looks like his forehead is about to explode. Weird. But that aside... I think Ames will appeal to the intellectual in Ashley. If there's any sort of physical spark, Ames could bring it home. And he does seem smitten. The camera has caught him looking at her with a sparkle in his eye more than once. Right now I think he's the dark horse to win...
Anyone else have any theories?

I actually like that final four, but I'm a little disappointed that Ryan isn't in there. He stole my heart last night the way he comforted her after the roast. I also love me some J.P. I can't really comment on Ben F., Constantine or Ames because they really haven't gotten that much air time. Hopefully, now that Bentley is gone (for the time being), we'll get to know them - but I still don't like that Ryan didn't make the final four.

Well, looks like Reality Steve has in fact posted what his sources tell him is how things play out.
If Steve is right, then I'm wrong.
Here's a snippet from his blog posted earlier this week.
My info is solid, so here it is:
-Ames is eliminated after the hometown dates.
-Constantine is sent home after the overnights. However, the circumstances surrounding his exit could be a little different. He might’ve eliminated himself, it might’ve been mutually agreed upon that both of them realized they weren’t a match for each other (apparently there might have been some major religious differences between the two), or maybe it is just a regular rose ceremony where he doesn’t get a rose. I’ve heard a few things. All I know for sure is he’s absolutely eliminated here.
-That leaves a final two of Ben F. and JP. In one of JP’s last appearances with Ashley, they go kayaking. Ashley is in a turquoise bikini and brown sarong. JP has a yellow shirt on.
-In one of Ashleys last appearances with Ben, he’s wearing a plain gray t-shirt and Ashley is wearing jean shorts, with a white and purple shirt.
-Ben worked for Let it Ride Design in San Diego before going on the show (you can even see him at the :20 mark in the video on their homepage. Go Storm Horse! You’re welcome for the free plug). He has since left that company and moved back up to San Francisco and is focusing on the winery. Doesn’t really mean much since...
-Ashley is engaged to JP.
If true, that news is sure to make some people very happy since JP surely does seem to be a fan fav right now.

SPOILER DISCUSSION
Lexie, Steve indicated somewhere in his blog that there was some kind of friction between Ryan and the other guys. I'm not sure what it was all about, but the previews at the end of last night's episode showed a little taste of it, with one of the guys telling Ashley that Ryan acts differently around them than he does around her.
Will be interesting to see what Ryan did that rubbed the other guys the wrong way.

YAY - thanks Jezzed !!! I'm going to watch it while I eat lunch at my desk. That disappoints me that they call him smarmy but they are living with him and I'm not.
If indeed he is all smarmy, then I'm happy with J.P. being at the end because I really do like him!! But where the hell did he get a pair of sweats to change into last night???

Re-watching the part of the episode with Bentley, it appears she's not alone in that house. There were several moments when you could see someone duck out of the shot, run across the shot, or cast a shadow on a wall or door. So I suspect production had something on hand for him.

We figured the switch to sweats didn't necessarily happen as fast as it appeared. Remember that the rose ceremony takes hours to get through, particularly at the beginning when there are more roses. What looked like a 5 to 10 minute change could have taken an hour while they found appropriate sweats.

Some Spoilers--Don't read any further if you don't want to know. I don't know how reliable these are, but here's the info:
Episode 7 (down to 4) ...
1-on-1: Constantine. Rose.
1-on-1: Ben F. Rose.
Group Date: Ames, JP, Lucas. JP gets a rose.
1-on-1: Ryan. He gets sent home on this date.
Eliminations: Ryan Park and Lucas Daniels.
Episode 8 - Hometown Dates (down to 3) ...
The lucky four fellas who get to go home with Ash:
Ben Flajnik (Sonoma, CA).
Constantine Tzortzis (Cumming, GA).
JP Rosenbaum (Long Island, NY).
Ames Brown (New York, NY).
Hometown Dates and Season Finale - Who Wins?
Ames Brown is eliminated after the hometown dates. Constantine Tzortzis is sent home after the overnight dates just before the season finale.
The final two, from what we're hearing now, is Ben Flajnik and JP Rosenbaum. A pair of worthy competitors, to be sure, but only one can win.
That person is JP Rosenbaum. That's right. JP Rosenbaum and Ashley Hebert are engaged! Will it last? We'll find out after the August 1 finale.

I think they're pretty reliable Smokey. They match what Reality Steve has been saying for several weeks now, and from watching the show, it does appear JP is the front runner. That said... last season, Steve kept saying Brad would choose Chantel O, and all season watching Brad and Chantel it looked like that must be the outcome. Then right before the finale, Steve backtracked and said it was Emily and that just put a whole different perspective on things. So, who knows really. But I've got my money on JP right now.

Onto the finale: It looks like Ashley and her sister will butt heads.
Harrison: I mentioned that this isn't going to stay smooth for J.P. and Ashley and what I was referring to was next week. Ashley's family comes to town and J.P. doesn't exactly get a glowing report from the family. It stirs things up.

Hey Happymom, It's been over a month since anyone has posted in the spoiler thread -- I'm a little surprised to see so many spoiler adverse people when it comes to the Bachelor/ette.
I came across Chris' TV Guide interview yesterday. It's a good interview, but I always take him and the previews with a grain of salt. He seems to go out of his way to build fabricated drama. The show is interesting and Ashley cries, like, every ten minutes... I don't understand their need to build fake drama when there's plenty of it already. Whatever the issues with JP, either they got over it or Ashley didn't care what they thought because they appear to be together. Ames is now with Jackie and even Ben is rumored to be dating a former Bachelor contestant, which is making it look all the more likely that Ryan will be the next Bachelor unless someone gets a clue and picks Mickey who I think would make a much better Bachelor.
It's that point of the season when I wish they would just fast forward to the end. Glad it's only one more week!!!

Aussie, that's a safe assumption since Ryan "had Chris's telephone number and called him" before going back to Fiji.
It is amazing how all the recycled contestants have Chris's telephone number before being given their own season.

I am not certain Chris was in Fiji.... he doesn't always go to every location. I know Ryan said he called Chris... but did we see Chris at the RC?

Who is Mickey?
That so cracked me up Lexie!! Yes, kind of forgettable personality but I enjoyed looking at him. Think he's much more attractive than Ryan. Heard somewhere that Blake is also in the running for next Bachelor and for the life of me I can't remember what he looks like.

So yes, I stand by my comment that it is amazing that Chris has cell phone service in Fiji and all these people that get kicked off have his cell phone number. Really????

I kind of take the statement that Ryan called Chris with a grain of salt. The truth, and I'm only guessing, is probably more likely Ryan contacted the producers and they in turn contacted Chris. Heck, Chris may not have talked to him at all until the producers had decided it was or wasn't a good idea.

I call total BS on anybody EVER calling Chris Harrison. I think the producers tell them to say that, but it's not like Chris runs the show or makes any decisions. I firmly believe the producers decide to bring people back totally for drama. Or to promote them as the next Bachelor/ette. And I'm sure somebody on production has a phone that works in Fiji. When you're traveling the world for a TV show, you have to keep in touch with the boss. They probably have satellite phones that work everywhere. If people can have cell phones on Mt. Everest, they can have cell phones in Fiji.
