Grow up on the insistence that your birthday matters in the grander scheme of things! I spent my 21st birthday attending the funeral of my 29 year old brother in law and was mature enough to realize that even such a landmark birthday.. well.. that other events were simply more important. (but when I was sent out for a six pack of beer that day, I was a bit disappointed that they didn't ask for my id, so I could flash it) Anyway she needs to go.

Yup..Michelle is the obnoxious girl this year, but I'm sure she'll be around for a long time. Am I the only one who dislikes these acting scenes they've been doing for the past few seasons?...they're so over the top. I'd much rather see more one on one time with the girls then have to watch bad acting and very bad singing, which will be shown next Monday.

Brad kept wiping his mouth after he kissed the girl at the amusement park. Melissa deserved to go. She got Brad alone and sobbed about how all the girls were against her. Then all of a sudden she started to worry about onion breath. Boor Brad.

Chris H: "I just wish on this group date you were somehow able to tell it was Michelle’s 30th birthday." LOL! Also from Chris H; "There actually is a technical reason the ages aren’t on there this season: We changed the graphics up a bit and they just don’t fit. But I will tell you if you pay attention you will learn how old these women are as we go. You found out how old three or four of them were this week alone, and the ages are up on the web site on their bios." The two who were fighting and causing all the drama were 31 aprox. (the blond) and 21 (the brunette) per the blond. I wondered if the blond was actually correct about the brunette's age because I know Brad is upper 30s and I think 21 is too young. But I thought maybe blondie was just jealous of brunette's younger age and that maybe she wasn't really 21, just acting like it...according to blondie. (I don't think brunette was acting esp. immature. I did miss the beginning of the show though. I started watching at the beginning of the huge group date. I did not go look at their bios.) I agree that Michelle is going to be the crazy this season. Sea, I agree with you re: the birthday importance. I don't remember Jackie from last week at all. I don't like the acting with all that kissing either. At the same time...the girls should just lighten up and go with the flow. Do they not understand men? Have they never watched the Bachelor before? The men always go for the girls that give them the most attention. They need to worry less about what the other girls think. Already having a rose and grabbing Brad at the Rose Ceremony party is a good move for oneself. Also, the men do not like the tears and drama. The girls who do this every season surprise me. Why are they so clueless?

Maybe I should just copy Chris' entire blog into here, lol! Chris: "By the way, Madison and her fangs didn’t get a lot of airtime this week but the girls did not forget about her. While she was out on the group date Sarah P., Lindsay and Ashley S. devised a plan to see if Madison was really a vampire. They made crosses out of branches in the backyard and stuffed cloves of garlic under all the mattresses (just in case)." LOL! Was this on the show? (I love how Chris words things sometimes..."Madison and her fangs" lolol!

It's nice that there is a link to Brad's blog at the bottom of Chris' blog. Maybe they have always done that and I just never noticed. I am rarely ever able to link to People.com articles. Something about them makes them not work.

From Kristin Baldwin's humorous recap (re: Jackie's one on one): "Wow, everything's going so well, it's like these two are meant for ... what was that, Jackie? You've only ever dated two guys seriously in your life? [Screech of needle being pulled off a record] Brad no likey." lol, that is exactly how I felt and how Brad reacted!

Thanks Reader! There is a link to Kristin's recap at the end of Chris' blog. I found this at the end of her recap. I just thought I'd post it for anyone who wants to listen to hear the Bachelor part: "EW's TV INSIDERS PODCAST: This week, Dalton Ross, Adam Vary, and Mandi Bierly go inside the American Idol' audition room and tell you what to expect from the new judging panel. Do they actually get along? Can they survive the loss of Simon? And does Steven Tyler make one lick of sense? Plus: we break down the season premiere of The BACHELOR while asking the question on everyone's mind: Who brings a manscaping kit out on a date? Or fangs, for that matter? And listen in as Ken Tucker stops by to preview midseason TV and let you know which new programs you need to be watching — and avoiding."

Adding to my last post: At the end of the Bachelor article you will see the podcast announcement paragraph and below it the audio player you can click on. Here is the link to the last page of Kristin's recap with the audio player.

Most of these women are too young to even get married.

I am wondering if Emily goes on the group date to the Nascar track and how that will affect her and bring back memeories of ricky Hendrick. I remember when that happened and it was very sad.

what was that, Jackie? You've only ever dated two guys seriously in your life? LOL, I'm 41 and have dated very few guys seriously, and none in the last decade. I agree, it's a huge red flag. Men should stay away from me.

Dlkuhn4 - I can tell you that a friend of Emily has posted that she has been around NASCAR since Ricky passed away, she is still with Hendrik's family, and as such (its been 6 years) the friend felt it wasnt that big of deal, but understood how people that dont know Emily, and do know how tv goes for ratings that it might look worse than it really was for Emily. (I really appreciated that post, dont remember the exact words, those were my thoughts from reading it) Hermi - no red flags - GREEN light baby!

When I re read my post up above about the red flag, it seems like I agree that it's a red flag. Not at all. I meant that I agreed with Kristin (the recap author) that it was edited to seem like a "[Screech of needle being pulled off a record]".

I'm sorry for being such a sap, but I just love Emily. She seems so sweet and genuine, and I feel bad for what she's been thru. And all of you "predicting" that Michelle is going to be the crazy one, what do you mean "predict"??? Isn't her behavior so far crazy enough to qualify her for that distinction? I felt bad for Raichel, but Brad was right to ditch both her and Melissa. Too much drama!

Happymom, no worries, lol. I did misread it, but thought it was funny. I can't believe I am watching this show. I like Emily and Jackie best so far.

Yep, "fang girl" appears to be a plant. ...In creating her bio, however, someone forgot to mention that Madison is an actress, too. She adopted the last name "Garton" for the 'The Bachelor,' but her real moniker is Madison McKinley, notes the entertainment website Starcasm. Her IMDB profile lists appearances in "30 Rock," "Rescue Me" and "White Collar"; she also has an uncredited role as a "model" in the upcoming movie version of "The Smurfs" starring Neil Patrick Harris. In November, Star magazine profiled McKinley as a rising young star with nary a mention of her upcoming "Bachelor" stint... No surprise there.

Wonder if she wears the fangs when she guest stars on a show. Sorry, those fangs are just weird. I mean, I'm a Twilight fan too, but I'm not going to get fangs glued to my teeth. It's silly!

Plus the vampires in Twilight don't have fangs.
