and Jesse and Deeana werent in the same town - so of that time - how much did they spend together - a week? a weekend? I remember there was much ado about Deanna picking Jesse, and Jesse not being there for "the right reasons" he was able to score for his business (snow boarding) by being on the show, and having the media attention for being picked F1

Okay, four months it is. I knew they hadn't broken up prior to or immediately following the the After the Rose show. Weren't they supposed to get married the following spring? It vaguely remember reading somewhere that she was in the midst of planning a wedding.

Yeah, they had picked May 9 for their wedding date (or something very close to that).

I just have to say that I found that one girl slapping Brad really offensive! If the situation were reversed and it was a female Bachelorette, would it be okay for some guy to step out of the limo and slap her? I thought it was stupid and actually technically assault. Didn't find it at all funny.

Oh, and one more thing. Does anybody else notice that Brad talks like Forrest Gump when he's nervous and thinking about what he wants to say? Too funny!

well since so many feel the slap was contrived, and that ABC is using it in their promos for the show - I think ABC over estimated the backlash they are getting. I dont think Chantal should be getting the negative attention, I think she slapped him because it gave her TV time, she stood out. I think that we should look at it like a soap opera slap - How often does that happen? Is there ever this kind of discussion with a soap opera character? I think the slap is taken out of context. I put it in the context of the soap opera and is eh no big deal. However, because of the teen mom seriously abusing Gary, even tho I am wondering if part of it is for HIS TV time - its still over the top. Definitely in that situation, no tv producer would tolerate Gary hitting Amber in the same manner.... and for whatever reason (TV?? Soap Operas?) a woman slapping a man to "get his attention" has been acceptable - in the past Hopefully those days are over!

Still don't like it. Whether it was set up or not, I didn't feel Brad deserved to be slapped and am not comfortable with hitting people in general. Just not appropriate. I wish they hadn't done it. It was stupid.

I'm not into the slapping. I agree that it was all for show, and encouraged by producers, but still don't like it. And she slapped him for something that had nothing to do with her! If he would pick her in the end, I would think he has more problems than being a commitmentphobe! (Which of course means he will have to get more therapy and will be back in a couple of years!)

I finally had a chance to watch the Bachelor over the weekend. The one thing I noticed off the bat is that they didn't show the ages of any of the girls. I think we heard Michelle was 28 in the little introduction of her but that was it. Are they afraid to show us the ages of the girls because they are all under 30 and Brad is 37?

I also felt bad for blue dress girl. I can't think of her name but she tried about 3 times to get alone time with Brad but as soon as they sat down someone else would steal him away. By the third time this happened I was waiting for Brad to be a gentleman and say please give me a few minutes with her but he never did. At that point, if I were her I might have left right then and there because it was obvious Brad didn't want to get to know her.

Sporty, I also noticed that they didn't show us the ages of the girls. I like to know how old (or young) they are because I want to know how much of an age difference there is.

Me, too! I think they're doing it on purpose this season since most of the girls are probably really young and Brad's so darn old! 37! Jeez!!! I recorded Ellen the other day, cause I wanted to see Camille Grammar. Ellen had tickets to tonight's college bowl game she was giving away. She said, "I can't go cause it's on Monday and that's when the Bachelor's on." I love Ellen! She's a true fan. I just feel like she's "one of us."

37 ..... Ya he's practically a senior citizen. I was a bit disappointed that he didn't give that one a chance. She was interupted so many times.

LOL Lexie_girl!!! Michelle was a bit annoying with the "it's my birthday", but then, she got herself to stand out and has lasted another week. I just don't think I could go on a date with so many women competing for the attention of the bachelor.

It wasn't her 29th birthday, or her 31st birthday, it was her 30th birthday. My prediction: Michelle will be the off-the-chart crazy one this season.

That's my prediction, too, Lexie. Ironic that she shares the same name as last year's crazy. I was glad to see both Melissa and Raichel go. Good riddance.

Yes, I totally agree Smokey. Good riddance to both of them. It's a shame they got themselves all caught up in tears and drama! When they watch the show, I'll bet they will say to themselves "boy did I screw up". I liked Ali's new hair color! Not as " yellow blond".

You mean it was Michelle's birthday?!! Gee, how did I miss that?!! ROFL Most of them are really young for him. What's wrong with having some more women in their 30s? Sheesh.
