Ben and Lauren were in the audience of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Weds. night (we record every night and watch the next night, cause we can't stay up that late). It was funny. He talks about the Bachelor a lot on his show, and he kept telling his guests not to say anything mean about The Bachelor, "cause they're right there!"

According to Mike Fleiss's Twitter, the first night (limousine night) was Wednesday. Production is now live-tweeting everything as it is happening (i.e. dates and stuff).

That's an interesting approach for them to take.

They started the live-tweeting a couple of seasons ago when they would put out "casting calls" for fans to show up at these public dates (concerts). The only things they aren't tweeting are who is being eliminated and pictures of JoJo on her dates, which is kind of ridiculous because the fans on the "public dates" take pictures and send them to Reality Steve. For all intents and purposes, this show is spoiled via Twitter as it is being filmed.

Yes, I was thinking the exact same thing. I may give it a peek but I'm not sure I'd be watching every week, unless there is absolutely nothing else on tv.

Uh oh. We all know this means doom for their relationship.

Rupertbear, it's a pretty well acknowledged fact that the vast majority of couples who star on a TV show together end up splitting: Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey; Britney Spears & Kevin; Hulk & Linda Hogan; Carmen Electra & Dave Navarro; Kate & Jon Gosselin; and now Ozzie and Sharon, just to name a few. This is an old article, but it shows the trend: http://jezebel.com/5796713/22-families-affected-by-the-reality-tv-divorce-curse I hope Ben and Lauren can prove us wrong, but I think the stress of having every little facet of your relationship shown on TV is tough on a relationship.

Yep, I know...it's a tiny percentage who actually make it through. I think they are asking for trouble, being willing to live in a fish bowl. I was extremely surprised that Ben and Lauren said yes to the idea but it seems so many people get addicted to being in front of a camera.

Plus, it probably pays better then being a flight attendant. I don't remember what Ben did.

Just checked. He is currently a business analyst for Talisys, a financial services company in Denver.

Thanx Rupert, so he probably makes a nice salary if he isn't too low on the totem pole.

Yes, that's so true...and if they decide to have a baby...they can call it And Baby Makes Three. They can take us into the delivery room and everything!
