I could never hear her on the live feeds. She either whispered or mouthed her words when plotting and turned her mic off. EVERY TIME.It was beyond annoying and ruined the feeds. Then, when she was just socialing she shrieked loudly in that grating voice. Her voice (or lack of) annoyed me no end, as did her superficial personality.

Btw, did anyone see that X (formally Twitter) posted a big announcement naming Morgan Pope the winner of Season 27! Freudian slip? lol.It was soon removed but what a gaffe. I got a screenshot but don't think we can post pics here.

I think that Ashley positioned herself very well socially in the game. She made a very astute comment when she said that it is important to be liked, but not so well liked that it makes you a target. She aligned herself with strong competitive players that did the competitive work for her and kept her own hands clean. There’s no question that she played a very strong social game.

Social game is important. But, winning HOH and POV and surviving being on the block numerous times should carry more weight.

I agree, Mitch300. I don't follow BB to watch people float through the season, sleep the day away, or spend countless hours grooming and applying makeup. I follow to watch competitors compete. Ava and Will were both lazy players and Ashley wasn't much better imo.

Well it turns out being spoiled from East Coast made watching on the West Coast less painful. I hope that my fear that Kat's being with Rylie isn't a way to rebel against her Dad and step mom. She was traumatized by losing her mother and reportedly was hurt and resentful that her father moved on too quickly in her view, so she had fallen out with dad and step mom. So when her step mom and dad were so anti Rylie, I thought, that could push her toward him. But hopefully she takes it slowly and if they work together, good for them, I guess. I would have liked to see labels on families and especially Vinci's mom and dad, without Kelsey.

I can also understand people’s frustration with someone seemingly coasting for the entire game, winning a couple of competitions at the very end and then winning it all because they didn’t offend anyone or get their hands dirty.

Ashley had some luck, too. Between Ashley lobbying Morgan to not take Vince to final two (as it turned out Morgan would have beaten Vince..) And even more with Vince just draining Morgan for hours, Morgan went to that final HOH pretty wiped out. Still, Ashley was perfect and won. However, in Part 2 had Vince just read the clue again, Ashley was at a huge disadvantage kicking those walls. They really should add weight to the lighter person for that part. So the had luck from both Vince and then Morgan.. But she won and good on her. The prize is good but I hope she is smart in investing the after tax amount. And after all the effort to go to law school and pass the bar, I hope she doesn't just go for reality fame. Someone posted that Kaycee said all her winnings were gone. I remember when Jun Song won, she invested in an apartment in NYC. I assume she sold that when she moved to Belgium, but she did invest.. I don't see Monte's after tax going too far in Los Angeles. Wonder who he is hanging out with tonight? Kelsey, Lauren, Morgan or MOM.

I am waiting for the exit interview where he will compare himself to Danielle Reyes. I am not so sure about Morgan, I saw a brief snip last night at the end where he walked up to her and she walked away from him. He is done with Lauren. Let's face it, neither one of them would have been happy seeing all the Final 2 hands that were raised.

Jimmer, that’s exactly how I saw Ashley. Hanging out, making herself look pretty every day and then win the last two comps. She won almost unanimously because of who she was sitting next to, not because she is a great player. I liked Holly’s description of Ashley, superficial personality. That was her. She liked herself a lot and that was evident by her jury session and her constant making sure her hair was perfectly in place. Lol

FYI $750K after federal tax is about $495K and then it depends where she lives for the state taxes.

I realized I could calculate Ashleys state of NY taxes which would be about $82K so net would be about $413K. Note to future players before you go on move to a non taxed state...

I didn't watch, nor did I watch the last 3-4 shows. However my daughter told me (after it was over) that she thought I should watch. When she got home she asked if I wanted her to tell me what happened and I said yes, as I would get spoiled anyway. I will be watching it tonight! What a relief!

The reason I love the Ashley win is this game was born and conceived as a social game. Not a competition show. We learned that lesson again with Vince this year. Less emphasis on comps and your "resume" and more on how you play the game socially.

I think the more casual TV only viewers enjoy the competitions because it provides structure and gives them something specific to show on TV and look forward to week after a week. The original Big Brother watchers who enjoy the live feeds are much more attuned to the social game aspect of the show. Although I enjoy the social game, I also enjoy the competitions they have introduced like the battle back competition because it keeps the show interesting for the duration of the week. In early years, the person leaving was often finalized three or four days before the eviction.

I’ll add that I was pretty impressed with production this season. They normally trail off badly in the last few weeks, but they stuck with it this season and kept the theme up quite well until the end. Also, Julie seemed much more involved with the show and was a much more enthusiastic host.

I believe whoever wins deserves it however that happens. I often don’t agree with the outcome or like it, but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve it. That’s where I’m at this year with not agreeing with the outcome. Yes, this is a social game but that isn’t the only aspect of it. Think of it, if not for comps, Ashley would have been gone the first week, Keanu week 2, etc. I like that the comps give those people who aren’t part of the “in” crowd a chance to save themselves. This was true also of Kelley. Some people are just awkward and not good at making friends and I don’t think that should mean they shouldn’t have a chance of playing and possibly winning this game. I want well rounded players to excel. Can win some comps , can play a decent social game, and not be afraid to get into the dirt a bit getting “blood on their hands”. Just hiding behind the bigger targets, being nice and hoping nobody looks at you isn’t my cup of tea for what I consider a good player. As much as I knew she would, I was a little surprised that Rachel would not only vote for, but advocate for this season’s arguably biggest floater.

I'm not so sure California taxes won't also have to be paid since the money was earned in California. When my son went to college in another state and had a job while in school, he owed taxes in both states. I just feel bad for Morgan. Beyond competition wins, she played 24/7 (just about literally with how little sleep she had). But like Sea said, with a little bit of luck, the tide certainly does change. Especially since it sounds like Morgan would have won against either sitting next to her

I think Morgan mostly “played” with Vince. She spent MOST hours of MOST days holed up in the HoH bed with Vince. She deprived him of sleep, she browbeat him about Lauren, even after Lauren left, Morgan would wake him in the middle of the night to ask him again if he had a F2 with Lauren! She cooked for him, then delivered food to whichever bed they were sleeping in and continued to talk throughout the meal. Usually all four cameras were on them, but if I could avoid the repetitive nagging I switched cams when she was awake! The way she responded to Vince’s immature whining/tantrums was embarrassing to watch. I’d like to see how she plays without being so paranoid and mothering… but I NEVER want to see Vince on tv EVER again!

California taxes will have to be paid, along with Federal taxes.

I agree, Calimom. But, I think it was a mutual thing between them, it's not all on her. But they isolated themselves the last month in the hoh room. And I know I won't change any minds, but Ashley did work and play the game. One of my favorite things was watching Ashley and Rachel talking and strategizing for hours. They were 2 women with brains. I don't remember Ashley always in the shower. I remember her spending hours talking to other hgs and getting information and planting seeds. Asking them questions so they would come around thinking it was their idea to target somebody else that wasn't in her alliance. Sometimes she talked to much and revealed things, but maybe she did that on purpose. She's the one who put Mickey on Morgan's radar, because Ashley wanted her gone. And the one I remember taking a shower constantly was Reilly. He was always in there and it just grossed me out. It gave me ptsd seeing him in the shower stall everytime I turned on feeds. And I like the social strategy over the comps. Having comps is good, but they need to go back to making them more fair for everyone like they did for the past few years. It's not much fun watching the same 2 people winning everything for a whole month.

When you are filing your NY income tax return, there is a question if you have income from another state. Now CBS may have done contracts out of NY and LA. I would assume that for a NY resident the contract would be written with a CBS NY employer. I read a bunch of interviews including with Morgan, Keanu and Vince. Morgan said she gave Vince her vote because she knew he was emotional and she didnt want him to get zero votes. Keanu said if Vince went to final two after kicking Morgan to the curb he would have given his vote to Vince. He said he decided that if Ashley, kicked Morgan he would give it to Ashley because that was a big game move and she won the two comps that counted, plus her social game was really strong. Vince, used the excuse that he lied so much because he thought everyone else was lying. He said he is not like this outside the house (imagine the whiney voice). I dont believe for one second that he doesnt lie day in and day out. He said he was looking forward to seeing his girlfriend. You can also bet if Morgan won the 750 K, he wouldnt be saying he is looking forward to seeing his girlfriend. Morgan and Vince both played each other. Vince thought he could play two women and that one of them would take him to final two - that was his entire focus. This is a guy who only knows how to live off other people.

Ava was a floater, she was allowed to sleep 16 hours a day (that needs to change) got up for meals and when she was forced get dressed, sit upright and play BB. Will was a coaster, played BB like he was on one of his cruises. Lounged on the outside poolside lounge chair or inside on the red couch. Got up for the meals made by the women. Never cleaned or barely washed a dish. Only move he made was hand Ava the HOH he was about to win because he was still playing grandpa. Ashley played a lazy game in the beginning, but knew her limitations. Lots of frivolous talk to seem like a frivolous princess which she was a lot, but was paying attention. She beat Morgan and Vince in the last 2 out of 3 comps. Ashley reread the instructions and pivoted, Vince regressed into a 10 year old boy that had to be consoled by his BB house mom. I feel bad for Morgan, the girl didn't come up for air for weeks, worked her ass off and lost to a guy who will spend that money in less than 6 months. There have been worse winners. I haven't watched the last episode live in years.
