Cirie said that about meatloaf being a big burger, but in the fifties there was mixing cold ground beef with stale cornflakes or bread crumbs, chopped up onion, celery, some ketchup. Filler, stretch the meat, get your hands cold and greasy. I am sure there was salt and pepper. Some recipes get fancier but ours was basic. Leftovers for meatloaf sandwiches.

Yeah, Sea, it certainly depends on how you make it. The bread crumbs I think are just to help it hold together.
I prefer nut loaf these days.

I'm still believing that Cam is going to use the power of veto and renom someone. It may be Cory, or it could very well be somebody else and surprise us all. But he will use it.
and if he doesn't use it, I'm gonna go outside and kick some rocks.

My mom made a good old fashioned meat loaf but instead of breadcrumbs she would use left over ends of bread she kept in the freezer, soaked in milk. She grew up during the depression and you used everything, no waste.

He might Grooch if it is beneficial to his game. I don't think it's beneficial right now. He can pit Blue and Cory against each other and if she puts him up, or anyone else does, he will go. I think Cam is tired of making enemies to help those who need to win for themselves.

I'm torn - I'd like to see Felicia go, but Cory is getting on my last nerve. He gives off pervert vibes with that baby mustache, hood over his head and glasses on.
To be clear - I am NOT implying or suggesting that he is - it's just the vibe of his current look. And then he can't stop over thinking EVERY thing.

Filler. My parents had been through the depression, WWII with him in the war and her back with parents, sister, brother in law and ration books, and her dad dying during that time. So they were frugal to the end. Stale corn flakes or potato chips got used (tuna casserole with the potato chips).
I am sad that Jag might win this argument and apparently BB is seeming to be manipulating Cam to keep the showmance.

I guess meatloaf isn't in fast food restaurants so no one under 30 knows what it is.
Felicia would hate me in the house, I wouldn't eat any of her meals. The storage room has no vegetables other than potatoes and onions.
Kroger has a produce aisle, just saying.

I think they have to not use garlic for Bowie, Cory picks out any veggies,
Felicia's food would raise blood pressure.. salts and salty seasonings.

It's probably the onions and the breadcrumbs and the other junk put into beef to form the meatloaf that makes it gag-worthy. I wouldn't touch it. Just give me a small hamburger already -- untainted. No filler!

I love meatloaf. I make mine with ground beef, lamb and Italian sausage with diced carrots, onions and peppers with a mushroom gravy with no fillers, breadcrumbs, oatmeal, etc .

I think the basic reason that Cam is not going to backdoor Cory is that he flat out told Felicia that he doesn't want her in jury. To change that now, means that she WOULD be in the jury, and a vote against him. One definite vote against you in a 7 person jury is critical. Cam needs Felicia out before jury if he intends to win at the end.

It just wasn't something I liked. If I am eating meat, I want to taste meat, no fillers.
I wish they would come back. I was still awake after 4 am, woke up thinking it was Tuesday and I was 20 minutes from my 11:15 exercise class on zoom, bolted out of bed and realized it is Monday.

I heard them say they were making a separate small meatloaf for Bowie with no onions - didn't hear anything about garlic (but could have missed it).

NY Times has a recipe where you make the mashed potatoes, roll it out into a rectangle, spread the meatloaf mix on it, and roll it up and bake it.
It's actually pretty easy to make and it's really, really good. The Times said they were surprised that it's one of their most requested recipes.
