First, I honestly don't know why Cirie is "beloved" or a "legend" other than she signed up to compete over and over. Maybe reality TV pay has become her primary income, I don't know. But she played no better than anyone else.

Second, I raised 2 sons (and a daughter) by myself. They are now grandparents themselves. Even today if any one of them used the kind of language that Jared uses in front of his mother, in front of me (or any women), I would be terribly disappointed in them... well, they just don't do that.

Jared is a self-absorbed bully. He's crude and thuggish. When I contrast his behavior against Matt or Cory, for instance, it's glaring.

And, BB, if you read comments here, Cirie and Jared being in the house together has been grossly unfair to the other players.

I did not see demeaning or devaluing in that convo.

When someone tells you over and over and over again what you did wrong for 20 minutes in such a way that it makes you hide your face and mumble mmmmhmmm and leave without saying a word, you definitely felt diminished.

You don't do that to another adult. Even if you are their mother. Especially over something so small!

Mamapors, all I know is that *I* felt uncomfortable for him, and kept thinking "why doesn't she stop?!" As a former therapist, I would tell them both that this is not a healthy relationship. You talk face to face, back and forth, not with one person lecturing and another burying their face and trying to pretend they aren't there.

You can certainly see it differently, but it was not healthy adult communication by any standard.
