The game just got less interesting for me. Michael was playing in another league. I was looking forward to watching someone beast it out. This is a hapless group of players. Oh well, maybe Monte will be able to move out of his parents house now and start his travel podcast. He said on the feeds that he had moved back home so he could try to be a travel podcaster. I guess he doesn't like being an engineer?

I read that many of them moved back home prior to BB. I'm sure it's logistically easier for family to handle their affairs on their behalf that way.

Monte would be my new favorite along with the two who have been since the beginning, Brit and Taylor. But still want Brit and Taylor sitting in those two last seats.

I'm afraid to root for Turner. With Monte as HOH, Turner's days are numbered unless he wins VETO. I think the women will stick together now.

Not knowing what exactly what Michael was thinking, however knowing how much of a fan Michael is... I wonder if he was thinking like this...

Mike wanted to help Brit not be the next target by showing Brit was not going to get votes at the jury, because he was headed to the jury with all the knowledge of all the missteps that Brit made.(which the hg's all believed to be true.)

Michael was showing how Brit would be the perfect person to take to the end and there would be no reason to target her next.

Looking at the one on ones from last night. I am not sure where Monte really stands. He is throwing Brit under the bus by telling Turner that he completely believes Turner over Brit. However, to blame Brit for lying and not Turner who came in from Dyerfest lying straight to his face.

Jucylucy....

your Michael scenario sounds like it could be the reason he said all that Brit stuff...

maybe he will admit to all that during his Julie conversation...

I do feel sorry for Britt having to listen to him say all that about her...

I was imaging how much stress Michael was under. Live shows are stressful for everyone, crew and HGs. Michael knows it's do or die. If he doesn't win HOH he is gone. Then it's a comp where he has to wind his tall body around a low bar. Then his rope breaks. He is attempting to reattach it while holding it in his hand still trying to continue.

He is asking production what to do... and they are scrambling because they don't know what to tell him, it's a live show. In the meantime Monte gets to the buzzer. Hits it and then looks confused because it doesn't go off and nobody is confirming that he's the winner. Because they still don't know what they're doing. Then they declare Monte the winner. They actually should have reset from the time Michael broke his belt at least. I'll bet if the show was taped they would have.

Michael knows he's a goner. Nobody is really talking to him. He kept his promise to Turner's and now Turner is going to put him up. Alyssa and Taylor could save him. But apparently they are not going to...

All this is happening in 15 minutes. No chance to regroup, settle down, collect yourself. He makes his last ditch speech. Those are a lot of emotions to go through in such a short time. I'll bet later he will say that he should have made a big deal about his belt breaking. But in the moment there's so much confusion and chaos.

I would have screamed bloody murder LOL. So seeing all of the stuff that happened in such a short time. He may have not been thinking straight. He might have thought after, oh I should have hugged Brittany before I left. But on the other hand some people say he may have been trying to also protect her if he left?

I just know that I don't like when comps don't go right. Or when production manipulates or sabotages. Or they don't account for the height of the player... by placing handles bars or grips in the same place for everyone. Or one player doesn't get as much goo or water or whatever sprayed in their face as the others. I just like everybody to have an even playing field. These things kill me every year with BB.

I would have thought that Michael played out that moment-he had to know it might be coming, and Michael worked through all scenarios relentlessly. I would also think that he would have discussed the possibility of him being ousted and discussed it with Brittany, so she would not have been blindsided by his words. A sort of “in the event of us going up together”, I am still going to fight, know this is game play and I will see you on the outside.

I think Mike didnt give Brit a heads up on his speech because he wanted Brit to sadly react to his words. Then if Brit is taken to the F2 by the others seeing Brit with all the lies Mike spilled, She would be the perfect goat. That would continue his job of getting Brit to the end. He has said, its easier to ask forgiveness than permission. She will understand, especially if she gets to F2.

I keep thinking about that comp equipment failure. It just wasn't fair. I know there's nothing to be done about it, but it threw him off and slowed him down.

Final 5 and I have no idea who's going to win.

You could be right Jucy. I sure hope so.

Just noticed how quiet the feeds are. Not watching just listening while I get some work done. I am grateful I don't have to hear Terrance doing exercises on the squeaky equipment before everyone else gets up.

Earthmother, Brit should think of who Mike is... He doesnt say things to hurt ppl. He is trying to cut his loyalty to her so she still has a chance to stay in the game.

Taylor was last seen on feeds in the bathroom area at 6:41 am doing breathing exercises trying to calm herself she was saying how she wouldn’t be able to sleep since she was still so scared about the Hoh horror experience she kept saying I’m ok I’m ok I’m inside the house #BB24

She would be the perfect goat.

-----------------

What does goat mean in this context? I always thought it meant Greatest of All Time, but I've seen it used here in context that doesn't imply that meaning.

Mamapours, I saw a clip of it. I also noticed that she slept in the bathroom (I'm guessing because of lights not going out there?).

BB Facebook is vile today - saying she used the story of her trauma as a way to gain sympathy from the other HG's. Comments got turned off before I could reply - that was real trauma - she had that panic attack in the bathroom this morning when no one else was there to witness it.

I'm still on Team Michael, hated to see him go in a DE.

His speech didn't bother me at all. He had a difficult week, knowing he had to win to survive. He also thought Brit was ruining his game with all her talking, so under pressure, he lashed out. Pretty tame really compared to some others. He also felt betrayed at that point by everyone, as except for Alyssa, he was 'supposedly' in a final three with Monte, Taylor, Brit and Turner.

Michael's speech and exit were emotional, but high drama, exactly what I like on BB. Terrance's speech and exit were pre-planned, lame and boring.

I really enjoyed Monte most of the season, and agree he played a fairly good game, but... There were a too many times he was involved in discussions about Taylor, and acting creepy around her for me.

I'm up for a Turner or Taylor win

Thanks Rabernet! I further read that something happened when she was a child, a young friend was murdered, and horror things have always triggered her. No details, just a brief explanation.

Mama, Taylor had mentioned that the black box comp, I think it's called, was the one she feared the most. Having to crawl and find things in the dark. She may have claustrophobia or afraid of things she can't see. My sister was like that. Just the thought of a dark tunnel and she would have a panic attack.

Thanks EM, I just feel bad for her.

Here is what Michael said about what he said to Brittany at the end to EW. So no he was not setting her up to get to final 2.

Brittany seemed very upset when you called her out during your final speech. Do you regret going after your biggest ally like that?

I love Brittany to death. I don't regret it. I was on the block. I knew I was probably gonna go home and I would've regretted it forever if I did not try everything to stay in the house. All of the information I shared there in the living room, people had been talking about it for the past couple of days. It wasn't like I exposed any new information or things that people were unaware of. I was trying to save myself in the moment, and as a Big Brother super fan, I hope she also understands if she had tried to blow my game up to save herself, I would've understood. And I hope that she can understand the same for me. But I definitely feel bad about it, but I don't regret it.

Goat has been an old term around from the early BB and Survivor days. Think about dragging along an old, useless nanny goat that's not very helpful or valuable. That's the original goat.

not sure when GOAT (greatest of all time) became a thing, but that was way more recent.

I'm so angry that faulty equipment helped with Michael's demise. Don't they test these challenges out like they do on Survivor? I'd really love to know how big of a team works this show. They are not very skilled imo.

Sincebb1, totally agree with your post above, wish I'd read it before I posted, you said it much better than I did.

Thanks Mampors for the quote from Michael, I understand his feelings and glad he acknowledged he feels bad. He fought too hard all game to go out without giving it everything he had.
