I continue to applaud the Cookout's alliance and their ability to work together despite not always having other bonds to hold them together. I spoke my piece about the validity of the alliance based on race a couple weeks ago, and for me nothing has changed:

Frankly, the reason we haven't had to discuss a "white" alliance and can pretend that wasn't a factor in how past alliances formed and how past F4 and F2 endgames developed is because the majority race was always the dominant one in the House.

I wish the Cookout kept to the original idea of looking out for each other, not targeting each other, with the hope of getting the 5 of them to jury. Hannah gets reluctantly added to make it an alliance of 6.
Somehow, this turns into getting ALL of them to F6.
Well, there’s only one way to do it, which is getting rid of everyone outside of the 6, and those people are not black.
Now its a fiasco, with terrible optics.

I agree with your post 100%.
Jun & Allison proved you don’t have be best buds or even like your alliance member(s), you just have to work together. The guys always have alliances, the younger HGs always evict the elders first, women are historically evicted before men. I don’t remember anyone claiming to stop watching due any of those divisive alliances.... I find that interesting.

I don't recall any group saying I cant wait for all the XXXs to realize that we got them all out and we are left. That is the difference. It is just my view and has turned me off.

It sounds like while the feeds were down they were doing something for an American Red Cross PSA…packing supplies for something.
(And the most likely time a CO member could be bounced is F8 or F7 because there simply wont be enough targets left if the right people win comps, especially at F7….)

Maris, I think I might recall some of the guy alliances saying that about there only being all strong guys left in the house... and I don’t think Kyland meant it in any way other than the “wow” factor of it occurring for the first time, that BB actually had more than 1 or 2 black HGs in the house, and they weren’t evicted early in the game. Let’s remember, this is Season 23, we’ve had men, women, physically impaired winners, but zero black winners. These HGs saw the opportunity to try and make that happen. They know it won’t change “the world,” they just want it to be recognized in the “BB world,” just as it was when the first female won a season of BB... fans of the show discuss things such as this, in their eyes it will be noted. That’s just my take of Kyland’s comment about people realizing there only POC left in the house (proving their plan actually comes to fruition). Of course, Paramount may edit it and decide not to show or address those conversations, that will be some tricky scripting, LOL!
I just wish we could have 2 different voting groups when it comes to America’s Vote— those who watch the Live Feeds, and those who only watch tv episodes... THAT would be telling!

So based on what we know now, Hannah and DF are the only ones who could theoretically win the coin flip comp (unless the amounts change in the vote)- and Hannah needs a top 3 finish.

So, the biggest part of the BB bucks twist could be completely derailed by the viewers if they don’t give Hannah and/or DF the maximum $100 reward.
Since it is likely that DX will be evicted, no one else has enough to get to the $250 to play the Coin of Destiny.
And even if both of them play for the coin, they would only use it if Claire or Alyssa was HOH. If a Cookout member wins HOH, Hannah and DF would have no reason to flip the coin.
All this twist did was trick viewers into getting their favorites evicted!

And DX I don’t think really gets about how the game is played- he talked to SB and told her people want to come after her so it might be better to keep him but didn’t name any names. He might be good at comps but really not that good at the social game…
Rose- I do suspect they’re going to up the values in the last vote in some fashion (maybe to 200,150,100) or the HOH comp might have money available..last year around now there was a golf HOH with 2 sets of targets- one side was for a cash prize and one was for HOH, so they could do something similar…
In theory they want multiple people going for it (since it’s 50/50 it’ll be used anyway) and if only one person can play or no me tries for it I’d consider the twist a bit of a bust.

Derrick from bb16 wrote an interesting point of view on how veto comp should be for all players. Some have worked too hard to be left to a random veto draw .
He does give a nod to the other side of the coin being its not all about comp wins but the need for social game to get yourself off the block.
I agree that veto competition should be open to all players . We r blocked out for so long as it is, what’s the difference if they just block for a day to let everyone compete? With all the twists they put into play , why not put this back in??
I think it would improve the game as we know it today .

I guess Kyland didn’t program her response algorithm for this eventuality.

SB is just fumbling her words, rambling, cliches, etc. She literally cannot function without her ventriloquist.
I literally can’t handle these long, awkward silences. Changing feeds.

Claire leaves and they continue, talking about how good they feel in the game. Ky controlling SB, Xavier with Alyssa.
