Getting it started!

And Mamapors has some information about the live feeds.

quote:

BBUS feeds will not be on CBS All Access this year but on Paramount. Here Is a link to get that half off.

Just for clarity, Paramount+ is what CBS All Access has has transitioned into. They aren't 2 separate services. If you already had a CBS All Access account, without doing anything you already have a Paramount+ account.

eta: What I'm curious to find out is if the feeds will be accessible through the built in Paramount+ app on my Comcast/Xfinity X1 DVR box.

HA! Due to Covid, casting is forced to actually CAST HOUSEGUESTS from applications that everyday people work on and send in to the producers in the hopes of getting a shot on this game show.

There will be no competition from bars and clubs for future hopeful 'influencers'. With their new 'diversity pledge', maybe this will be a season that I'll watch past the first month!

It's not often that I see any silver linings in this terrible pandemic, so I'll take it!

My CBS access seamlessly became Paramount +.

I almost forgot about Bb. I’m getting excited. And excited to be back on this board.

My turn for the #bb23 gossip..... I'm hearing a July 7 start (live move in again like last season) and a late Sept finale... of course things can change but I trust my source.

(actually 85 - my math was wrong lol)

More info- 90 min premiere (they’re pairing it with the Love Island premiere), same Su/We/Th schedule and the house will be called the BB Beach Club..

https://deadline.com/2021/05/big-brother-love-island-return-together-july-1234755876/

And this is likely to be a shorter season than we’ve had in a while- assuming they go back to putting them in a week or so before- let’s say June 30th-and go to the last Wednesday in September (probably pairing ithe Survivor premiere with the finale), that’ll be 87 days; about 2 weeks shorter than the 99 days or so it has been going (which is fine, it’ll keep the mid season lull to a minimum)

July 7th - like it used to be before they created the ridiculously long 100 day seasons. I’m good with that.

Also seeing tweets mentioning a LIVE MOVE IN! Anyone hear about that? US Weekly is one of the sources. That would be fantastic! But I hope that this would mean insta-feeds, right? I don’t want to have a live move in and then have to wait 2 days for feeds. Which means that’s probably what they will do. Haha!

OT:

Janelle tweeted that she is going to see a lung specialist due to damage from having Covid.

The scariest part of this disease is that even if you survive, you can have a lifetime of health issues. Even if your infection didn’t cause hospitalization.

I hope Janie gets a good prognosis.

I am hoping so much that their promise of DIVERSITY includes people of a certain age. And not just ONE older person.

I want to see a geriatric alliance for the first time in Big Brother history!

After all, most of their audience is ancient at this point. I mean, the show’s been on for what? 30-40 years now?

I'm gonna do some Rosem4243 math and admit I have watched every season of Big Brother beginning in 2000 when I was still quite young, but RETIRED WAY YOUNG, but old enough to qualify for a pension at age 50, IF I had 20 years in, which I did. And SO. if Big Brother has been on for 30-40 years ... how old would our youngest watchers in the early days be now? (rhetorical question)

But, yes, a geriatric version of Big Brother could be endlessly fascinating to us old-timers, for whom endless hours of on-screen heaving blankets could signal calls to 911 to see if somebody under there was having a seizure.

Here's more info on that-

https://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/2021/06/big-brother-mike-malin-will-kirby-felony-stalking/

(apparently the whole thing started when both of them were approached by the Amazing Race producers to be on the season that had BB teams vs Survivor teams vs TAR teams- Will turned them down, and Mike got seriously ticked off)

Has anyone heard? TIA.

I don't know about a live move in this year- The issue is timing.

More than likely the finale will be September 22nd (CBS has the Emmys 9/19, which has been the unofficial start of the season- and I'd assume they pair a 90 minute finale with a 90 minute Survivor premiere). If it is, if they go in on July 7th, that means only a 77 day season- which is way shorter than the last few years. I admit the 98-99 day seasons were way too long, but 77 seems too short.

Plus the reason the live move-in worked last year is that it was All-Stars and we knew the cast. I don't know if it would work with new players. My guess? They move in 6/30 or thereabouts, which means about an 84 day season- with 16 players that sounds about right.

Just saw on a YouTube story taking about Boogie, that Jeff is homophobic! How did I miss that?? Guess there was a convo in the house about Dumbledore being gay, and Jeff wasn't having it...upset that he was at a school with children
