I think this is for the live show which I don't think will be broadcast til the next night. I feel fairly confident that it won't be aired at 7:30 AEST
I haven't found an official launch date yet.

I don't believe this is "official" anything.
At least they changed the date from Sunday September the 7th when the live show at Dreamworld is scheduled to the 8th but it's still listed as starting at 7:30 AEST when there has been much comment about the first 6 weeks starting at the later time *after* the Block.

Well this link was posted at BBAU and it seems to be correct. I'm sure it will be updated if it is wrong. The starting date is Sept 8th...not sure when the US will be able to watch but last year it was usually within 4 hours.
The "Official" part was in the title of the person that posted this link in the first place.

I apologize for being so "picky" but I had been searching for the "official" launch date without much luck and been very wary of people claiming dates. Even the TV commercial doesn't include a date.
The countdown posted was for a different date than it is now & the post above is the only one I see claiming it as "official"

airing Sept 8th on ch 9
but it's confusing because the launch show is taped to a live audience Sunday 9/7, the show airs the next day Monday 9/8 & Tuesday is being promoted as live from the Dreamworld studio - I "assume" that will be aired also but just not sure.

I think the Tuesday "live" show will air on the Wednesday, because it's being taped at 8.30-10pm and usually BB shows are earlier (7pm their time). (Until daylight saving starts at the beginning on October there's no issue with that hour difference between QLD and Ch9 broadcast.)
So my guess is:
Mon Sept 8th "Live" Launch show (confirmed)
Tues Sept 9th Regular show
Wed Sept 10th "Live" Show - The Storm Has Arrived
Last year the shows were 1.5hrs (minus adverts) Mon-Thu, a short half hour show on Friday, Saturday had that Showdown (and then did they cancel it???), and nothing on Sundays. I'm hoping they will fill in the weekend a bit more this season.

Kitt, I've heard that the first 6 weeks, BBAU will air at 8:30pm after "The Block" & that when "The Block" finalizes, BBAU will drop down to the earlier timeslot.
I'm not understanding the uproar of 8:30pm being so late.
Only a few days til launch.

Bee, thanks for the world clock showing AU/WI time. I will be referring to it often, I'm sure. I didn't know you lived in WI so Hi from another Wisconsinite!
I agree that BB AU looks like it's going to be great.
I'm really confused now, so I guess I'll just check on Mon. Sept. 8th to see if there is a show posted. Their Mon. show "Live Launch" should hit the U.S. by 2:30 (or 3:30) PT and 4:30 (or 5:30) CT? Willwillbee, do you think we will have a show on our Mon. Sept. 8th?
I'm watching the Block AU, so will start paying attention to see if they put a blurb on there about the time for BB AU.
So looking forward to this show. Dumped the U.S. BB awhile ago and just can't get into the UK Celeb BB cast at all, so the AU BB is it!

Saguaro, I didn't get your PM but emailed you & hope you get that.
Cricket, I don't know how BBAU gets uploaded to video sites or how long it takes or if the later airing will effect the uploads, so can only report on when it airs. After we have more info, I'll try to pass it on.
BB looks like it will be airing every day but Saturday - times will probably vary from 60-90 minutes but Friday will probably always be 30 minutes.
Hopefully this new schedule will smooth out the the flow of updates. It seemed last year we wouldn't get hardly any info about what happened over the weekend.

A live live show! Is this a first for the recent years of BBAU?! Thanks for the clarification Willwillbe.
So the times posted are the time Channel 9 in Australia airs it. Like the USA, Australia has several time zones, and the Eastern part of the country gets shows first, right now it's 17 hours ahead of our Pacific (board) time so as I write on Sunday evening, it's already mid-morning Monday in Queensland.
As Queensland (where Dreamworld is) in on the East coast of Australia the timezone issue shouldn't be complicated until the clocks change on October 1st. However, like some US states, Queensland does not observe daylight savings time, so after then shows might be an hour out, depending on the Australian State/Time Zone of the person who streams the show. But for now, anyway, here's the US timezone version of Willwillbe's schedule:
Monday, September 8

8:40-10:10 pm Australia ET
= 3:40-5:10 am Monday US PT
= 4:40-6:10 am Monday US MT

I'm not seeing any gamenight shows listed, so I suppose they will be on Thurs. or Friday possibly? They didn't have Friday night game shows last year, but they do a game...can't remember what day it was. This year's schedule is different anyway, so will have to watch and see if they continue the games...so hope they do.

That's right, Kitt. I've been reading @ Behind Big Brother. Lot of spoilers there by people who attended the live show yesterday in AU.
I'm not happy with 'the power.' It destroyed this year's BB UK. If it's not broke; don't fix it. BB AU was the best. It had better stay that way.
