Yep, starts in January and might be five weeks

And I'm sure not long after will be Canada.

I just hope future contestants don't try to emulate Ryan in their gameplay or it will mean more dull seasons. From what I understand, the reason the housemates saw him differently is because most of his jokes were too dirty to be aired on television. Probably why we didn't see much of him for the first part of the game. So I guess instead of the guys splitting the "bloke" vote, Skye and Travis split the fun-loving, big personalities vote. Skye and Travis were very similar. Ah, well. It was fun anyway.

I lost interest in this BB AU. First time that's ever happened. Kind of surprised Ryan won. At one time he seemed destined to go out quickly.

I'm not sure what he meant when he said the money would make a huge difference to him because of what I'd read about his family being very well off. Maybe that's just his parents and not him?

How old was Ryan? He did seem pretty mature, but that didn't stop him from making digs about everyone. I'm still wondering how he won over Skye and Travis.

I wasn't here to comment with you guys but I did watch the last three years as they happened.

I liked the season Benjamin won and then I loved the season Tim won. This one was boring. I can't believe it but I never had any feelings about any of them.
I remain impressed at how much control BB has over them and how they don't cuss overly much. I liked when Priya and some other girl got nomination points for grilling someone.
Penalties are what is lacking from the US one.

I watched the last two seasons and I really liked both.

I think that Tim's strategy and Ben's quirks made the previous season more fun. That one is probably my most favourite of all I've watched (UK,US,Canada)

If Penny, Lina, Richard, and "the other guy" (the neighbours) were there from the start, things could have turned out quite differently.

So much depends on the personality of the housemates and their willingness to "play" with each other and Australia.

With BB over and CBBUK not starting for a month or so, I just had a marathon viewing of the new season of "Im a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here: UK".

Its somewhat similar to CBBUK, with about the same caliber of "celebrities", and a bigger task/challenge budget.

Last year definitely had a better cast, and going in, it would have been almost impossible to have a better group than they did last year. Casting hit a home run in 2013.

I still liked this season. Being only my second season watching BBAU, it would be great if feeds were available, but even without, the BBAU format is more enjoyable to watch than BBUS. There are a few things BBAU could have done better this season, but still liked the show from a viewers standpoint.

From a TV production view, BBAU does many things much better than the US version, though the US still gets the edge for camera work and production design. For live shows however, I definitely give the win to BBAU.

It was hard to follow such a good year, two years actually. But I felt it wasn't just the ~unlucky~ choice of hms (I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they looked better in their interviews) but they just didn't seem to follow through with a lot of things (like the fake eviction - no point to that), or got rid of things that worked well before (like no nom talk, not even disguised talk). It felt like every change was a bad one.

It'll be interesting to see if they backtrack next season, if they get another season.

I totally agree with Saguaro that BBAU format is much better than BBUS! I have really enjoyed watching the last two seasons of BBAU!

Watching an entire house gang up on one person week, after week, and be like sheep to a few people making all the decisions is not enjoyable. I've got really tired of the only conversations being about nominations, vetos, and head of house. I look forward to the next season of BBAU, but really doubt I'll watch another season of BBUS.

Very few shows have I stopped watching after I've been watching from season one, and have watched for more than 5, 10 or more years. I stopped watching Survivor many years ago because of it's repetitiveness style. Have washed my hands of American Idol, and looks like BBUS is next. The only reality show in the US I still really like is Amazing Race.

Yes, I am also sad, as it was the most entertaining BB ever!

I wouldn't completely count it out - Australian TV seems to like to keep their shows under wrap til the last minute. It may be a negotiating tactic (ala BBUK) & may show up on another channel or it may be gone *again*

It will break my heart though sigh.

I have to give up on BBAU 2015 but I wouldn't be surprised to see it pop up next year.

Home sick. Boohoo and am watching bb Australia via YouTube. Really liking these houseguests. The US version needs a good update and much better casting process. Just saying.
