I still think BBUS changed after the first season and stopped the public vote because Chicken George's wife set up the phone bank and voted out Brittney who was up against George to be evicted. Brittney was seemingly the producers' choice to stay over George and got mad when that didn't happen. Everyone else's family could've done the same thing but didn't.

Up until recently it has been pretty much impossible to actually know what these people are like outside of the house. We have a tiny bit more insight now thanks to greater social media exposure such as Twitter.
What people don't seem to realize is that the other BB's outside of the U.S. are rather socialist in their design, whereas the U.S. BB is based more on capitalism and wheeling and dealing to win and get the big prize. Many of us may like the other country's BB's but it seems most Americans and Canadians enjoy this form of BB more.
The Canadian BB is pretty similar to the American format except that the Canadian BB messes more with the houseguests and is much stricter about enforcing rules and having significant penalties. For example, they actually stripped one contestant's HOH after viewers complained that the contestant cheated in the competition. I like the Canadian BB better for that reason. Um ... plus the houseguests didn't say a lot of racist and other stuff and the final three were really pretty nice people.

If BB US HGs were to be penalized for cheating or unacceptable social behaviors not many would be eligible to stay in the game. This season would be very short.

IF BBUS HG'S knew that there would be penalities for rule breaking I think they would not go out of their way to break them. As bad as Amanda wanted to win she never would have acted like she did.

I wish it was just an ugly rumor also. The post at Jokers as a shot of her FB page. She's pretty active on Twitter & hasn't posted since Aug. 31 & they got the diagnosis on Sept. 1.
