FYI: Early odds for 1st eviction:
Lydia- 8/13
Victoria- 15/8
Conor- 4/1
(It looks like they think Victoria goes because she's the oldest, or Lydia goes because of her celeb connection- she's dating a Welsh singer named Andy Scott-Lee. Will be interesting to see how the odds evolve the next couple of days....)

I hope Conor goes - I have had the hardest time deciphering the Irish accents in the past. He seems to be a fairly stereotypical jock that's only attribute seems to be wanting to get naked.
I think I will love any of the wild cards - would prefer all 3 of them over the "pretty people"

I guess I should amend my hope that Conor goes, I didn't realize he was multi talented ...

Benedict has told people he's been in porn. Luke A's told Lydia and Adam that he used to be a woman.
Lydia is upset at Shievonne over something (Lydia's the one who was upset for being nominated), and has said she's not treated like this at home. If she is too Diva-ish she'll be going home on Friday.

imissed most of the first episodes/ bots, am really busy in the house BUT was listening. Geez brian is a crap host. its so cue card stilted and BORING. he seems to have zero personality. weird he was a two time bb winner. BTW, i never watched EITHER of those seasons

I don't have a hot line to the mods you know! I figured if I put them there like that it would help us remember names at first, and if a mod did have time and inclination to do us a banner they could use them. I don't know if any mods keep up with BBUK so it might be hard for them to maintain.
Have to leave now for work, so I'll be relying on youtubes later, so thanks for that twitter link MamaB!

I didn't watch much of last year's summer series so this may be a repeat, but I like the format for the first show. I always felt that they showed way too much of people coming in, repeating things we saw in the live show. They recapped and moved on. Not finished watching tonight's show yet but this seems like an interesting group. I can't wait to see the girls without makeup and their hair in a ponytail. They all look so old in these party dresses and glam makeup!

I would suggest not publicly posting links to twitter accounts & youtubes - Ch5 closes down the youtubes as fast as they find them. All of Ermmmms accounts were closed down last year & he is only working on donated accounts now because new accounts require a phone number & he won't give his out.

I liked that they flicked quickly through what we've seen, too. I can't remember what they did last year, but in the past it's sometimes felt like Show 1 is a repeat of the launch.
Every year it takes me weeks to work out which way the odds go! I think it means Lydia at 8/11 is slightly more likely to go than stay (8+11=19, so 8 times out of 19 she'd stay, but 11 times out of 19 she'd go). Victoria at 11/8 is slighty more likely to stay than go, and Conor at 10/1 is 10 times more likely to stay than go. Basically the smaller the fraction, the more likely they are to go. I think!
Lydia is the only one I'm not keen on so far, she's spent too long talking about how Deana wronged her. They should know by now that even if they want to moan about it, they have to play nice or the public won't like it!

Maybe this will explain it better:
Currently, If you bet 1 unit on Lydia and she was evicted, you'd get back a total of 1.66 units (your original 1 unit plus .66 units- this is worse than even money because you're risking more than you could win)
If you bet 1 unit on Victoria and she was evicted, you'd get 2.30 units back (1 for the original bet plus 1.30 units profit- this is slightly better than even money since you would get more than 1 unit in profit for the 1 unit bet)
If you bet 1 unit on Conor, you'd get 19.00 units back (1 for the bet plus 18 in profit).
This is a point to remember- people try and set the odds in such a way that it will both minimize any potential loss and maximize any potential profit. (Everyone is betting on Lydia or Victoria to go- so they want people to put at least some money on Conor so they offer better odds on him and offer worse odds on the women).

I can't get that involved in BB UK this year. I sure wish there were some live feeds; just a hour or two a day even. You get to know the HG's better that way.
I can't wait for BB AU..too bad it won't start until after the Olympics. I'd only watched the last two seasons of BB AU and came upon BB AU 2007, so I'm watching it. I LOVE the Friday night games...so entertaining and hysterically funny at times.

Interesting, Wilson, I've never thought of it that way.
I'm sure they promised an hour of live feed after each eviction, Cricket, but I can't see it on the schedule for this Friday or next. I think BBUK has become a slightly different creature and we just have to roll with it. We're going to see what they want us to see.
Unless some people think Lydia being paranoid is amusing (I can't see it) she's going home on Friday.
Poor old Luke A, it must be hard to know what to say and when to say it. And then people don't know quite what to say, so it's like making a huge announcement and then having people leave you hanging.
I liked Caroline and Scott together today. Shievonne was great with the impressions! Ashleigh's non stop talking and swearing would drive me crazy. I don't like Lydia and I'm not that keen on Conor.

Ah the joys of England in June...
The first eviction of Big Brother 2012 will be broadcast from the Bit On The Side studio due to a ‘severe weather warning’, it has been revealed.
It is the first time weather has altered producers’ plans since Celebrity Big Brother 2010 – when crowd ticket holders were told not to attend due to snow – and the first time ever that a live show has been moved to the set of a spin-off.
It is currently unclear how the evictee will leave the house, or if the entry of the viewers’ Wildcard housemate will be affected.
Tonight’s show airs at 10.00pm on Channel 5.

This eviction seems quite early. I thought they let them stay for a week or so.
I just can't get into these people. I don't know why, but they all seem the same. Can't see any standouts.
I think Lauren is a doll, but haven't seen enough of her to know about her personality.

Early days yet, Cricket, we've hardly seen most of them! Hopefully they will get some tasks going that reveal a bit more of those who aren't Lydia. So far it feels like it's all been about her and Luke A.
SPOILER TIME starting next post... run away if you don't want to know.
I guess the eviction is early so they can interview and put the new one in inside of an hour.

Victoria isn't being very likeable today.
Lauren has such a deep growly voice, it's distracting, doesn't seem natural. Like the opposite of Chris.
