Another EXCELLENT race with great drama and challenges. I've generally liked most of the teams but Cousins Mary & Cecelia are sure turning immature and unlikeable. All the screaming about the pancake lady ignoring them - heck, with all the hollering, small wonder she was helping the other teams more. The others appeared to be having fun with the task. Then Lily, of Jan/Lily team, is not far behind in the unlikeable screeching dept. Next week should be a doozy with people angry! I bet the gloves come off.

I found the pancake task hilarious. The pancake lady was a great character! I liked the "Communication" Detour -- an unusual task for TAR that was deceptively difficult. There was a similar one in CR1.

Oh whew! Now I can breathe, it's so intense I find myself holding my breath. Disappointed for the losing team. But hey they ALL did a massive effort. What an episode!

I watched the new TAR-US earlier tonight. Fantastic! But I ain't giving up this China Rush Race for sure. It's a whole different ballgame, puzzle/mind challenge switching betw English & Chinese. The challenges and scenery are fantastic as well.

I'm disappointed that team came in last. These legs have been pretty grueling. I was a bit confused about whether one team member could do most of the carrying in that Detour. It looked like Kylie said Matt had to carry the jug for her but Sun Bin said he couldn't help Feier. Looks like their rules on (not) paying cab drivers may be a bit different?

Thanks for continuing to post the links, Biscotti! I am halfway through episode 6 and continue to love this show. China is one place I have never had any desire to visit, so getting to enjoy the breath-taking scenery is a bonus!!

YVW. I ended up "Subscribing" to their Youtubes. While they've sent a whole slew of emails as they've been downloading the Israel and Latino Races, it ensures that I get our China Race each week. Easy enough to copy the links as I watch myself. I'm really enjoying this. Not only for the fantastic scenery but this race is a whole new ballgame. The challenges are interesting but downright exhausting!

Can you post the Latino race links? That would give me a a great chance to practice my Spanish! Whether or not that is possible, I sooooo appreciate the China race links!

What timing! I hadn't yet emptied my email trash today. The Amazing Race Latino America 3, Ep01, p1of4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKNzFKUOAUg&feature=uploademail Pt 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJwUsnQF-xo&feature=related Pt 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSV6xUICTwU&feature=related Pt 4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQHpop3U8to&feature=related Please let me know if this works for your watching. They're all so mixed & mingled w/China & Israel, not easy to pull up. No subtitles. TIA

All the links worked well - Part 2 is a bit short (9 minutes) and it appears a bit is left out between the end of Part 2 and the start of Part 3, but I can't find any other video that is longer. THANKS, again!

Whew! Again .. what timing! This way the Students can start with Episode 1 vs. the middle of it. Makes it more fun. I'll keep watching for the Latino Race. Will post when they appear.

TNT & Teachmichigan I've made another thread under our Australian thread - that's now devoted strictly to the NEW Latino Race. That way we can keep all the episodes together and reduce confusion. Then people wishing to watch China Rush don't overlook & miss out, while we're still keeping that other Latino Race in sequence for future use.

Speaking of China Rush, WHEW! Don't wish to spoil but it was seriously a cliffhanger. They're really getting to the point of needing to do their half-share of doing the tasks, but Oh My! Some teams have left themselves in a corner!

Biscotti - you are the greatest! And what a fun idea to use the Latino Race for your Spanish class. I can't wait to challenge myself with it!

Jeepers, you two make my head swell while blushing! I was raised in Phoenix, AZ in the poor parts among so many Hispanics. Could never learn Spanish (hearing impaired and my lip reading just made it so difficult to get the sounds correct). But, what I think is brilliant about Teachmichigan's plan here is that not only does the Race make it fun but they've got racers from so many countries. Chile, Peru, Mexico, etc. I imagine each country would have their own accents, much like Boston vs. Southern drawls here in the states. This race will expose the kids to a more robust offering of the language IMO. Great idea Teach! Just happy to be able to contribute to the effort.

Biscotti - Interesting that you would be so aware that there are ndeed accent dfferences from one county to aother. "Mexican and "Cuban" are probably the two furtherest from Spanish as it is spoken in Spain. And "Mexican" is rife with idioms unknown in the rest of the Spanish-speaking world. They also probably have the highest number of Spanglish words like "truco," "rentar," and "boxear." I am fortunate to live in a hugely multicultural city - although NOT a terribly large city!

Exactly! It's one of the things my kids are listening for. One of the ladies from Mexico is super easy to understand, while another one is next to impossible for non-native speakers (including me!). I'm just hoping that if we watch enough, they'll pick up words, see more of South America than most of them ever will be able to in real life, and start to appreciate the beauty of the Spanish language. My chuckle for the day - the host of TAR Latino is HARRIS WHITBECK...never would have considered that a Latin name! LOL

Another very cool thing is that there is quite a bit of repetition -not only w/the standard TAR phrases from the host, but from the racers reading the clues.
