Meet The Amazing Race Season 39 Cast
The long-running reality competition show returns to CBS on Sept. 30
The Amazing Race season 39 premieres on Sept. 30
The long-running reality competition show will feature 13 teams this season
Two-time World Cup champion Ali Krieger and her former teammate Joanna Lohman are among the cast
The game will also begin with a twist: For the first time in the show’s history, there are 13 express passes in play. Each team will receive one pass and must make use of it by the end of leg six.

I'm so glad this show is back, it's my favorite of all the reality type shows, or at least it used to be.

Me too!
The season with Jag and Jas being given an advantage day one was disappointing but am I imagining this or did I hear that everyone will get an express pass this season.
But Amazing Race has been my favorite for its relatively more positive atmosphere as other reality shows veer toward more negativity.
And I enjoy Phil as a host.

"It took away some of the predictability of the stronger teams always winning a leg."
I spoke with Phil Keoghan all about #AmazingRace 39, including the Express Pass twist and hitting country No. 99. Plus, what he'd wants from a 40th season! #TAR39 youtu.be/PN567vO4910

Did anyone else watch the 25th anniversary special today? Lots of fun, and lots of stuff I didn't know!

I watched. I love "behind the camera" on any show -- reality or not. I recorded it. Will watch again today and keep it.

We live 24 miles south of the Canadian border. It is indeed beautiful up here. Loved this episode, of course.

Yes, the 25th anniversary show was really fun! Just seeing Phil over the years was interesting.
And tears at the story about his father.
The last time he appeared on the show he was dying, though Phil said his dad was exercising and determined. He could see the pit stop through his window and was able to join Phil there.
Phil knew it would be the last time he saw his father, and it was.
