Tonight's episode is titled: "It's Hard Not to Feel Hopeless". I still can't believe that Tucker & Eric were eliminated.

I did watch it last night. I felt bad for Jack/Chelsie. I’m glad that they did make that far for Amazing Race 38. We will have to see two more left. It will be very interesting to watch the new two last episodes on Dec 3 and Dec 10. I’m hoping either Jas/Jag or Jospeh/Adam will be on the way to end to win the Amazing Race 38.

Jack & Chelsie certainly gave it a good run. I’m enjoying this season. Jas & Jag are the likely winners but I think everyone still has a chance. You never know what will trip a seemingly invincible team up.

Jag will likely show up on Survivor if he wins this. I am rooting for the only non BB winner left in the race.

Seamonkey, I think there are two non-winner teams left - Joseph/Adam and Izzy/Paige. It was hard to watch Adam struggle with the dressmaking challenge. I like all the teams left, but I'm rooting for Joseph and Adam.

Jack and Chelsea's claim to fame is that they literally got lost in every country they went to.

I could live without Jag or Taylor winning again, not bad people, but enough. I root for Paige and Izzy. But I also like Joseph and Adam.

I still want Jag and Jaz to win, but I'd be happy with the others except Kyland and Taylor. They seem to be having a lot of stages that bunch them up, or split them on two planes, so it still could be anyone.

Apparently Izzy injured her knee early in the race and really messed it up. This from Paige in a chat and mentioned in an RHAP podcast with Jessica Liese, Mike Bloom and Rob Cesternino. Tucker and Eric had two heavy backpacks, collected magnets at every stop and Eric was working out, getting steps on the few off days. Not typical race behavior.

I'm good with any winning except Izzy/Paige. Izzy is still bitter and that turns me off.

Izzy's inner instincts still bother me too, but I like how she is trying her best to stop them, and I like how Paige helps her get back on track. Taylor bothers me more at this point, as she seems much more self-centred in her thoughts on others. Still, great group overall compared to many races.

Nothing more boring than watching J/J win everything.

agree! That is how I felt when he was on BB as well. The only competition they had was Tucker

Agree it has become boring as J/J "Let's GO!!!" themselves to the win. I regret the day BB winner Kaysee? Kaycee? coined that phrase about 8-10 years ago on Big Brother, and it has become a reality show battle cry.

When watching any competition I always want to see the best team win. The only exception to that is if they are extremely unlikable. Jag and Jas seem to be extremely likeable and very friendly (more than some of the other teams) and have overcome some serious discrimination without any complaint. I’ll be very happy if they win.

I don't find them likeable at all. Their egos are way too big for my taste.

It’s always so interesting to me on any of these shows how differently we see the contestants. For me, nobody has a bigger ego on this race than Tucker. I don’t see Jag nor Jas having a big ego. I did see some in Jag on BB, but not in this race.

Editing is everything. Jag hasn't changed who he is, IMO. He's just getting a better edit. Their condescension toward the other teams is still pretty evident, however. Saw a different side of Tucker with his brother tho... made me like him more. Wasn't a fan of his on BB.

Wow, I don't see condescension from J/J. If anything I find them less so, I mean they are still letting Joseph and Adam follow them

That's condescending. They don't think J/A could make it on their own. They are just using J/A until they don't need them any more. And if they thought J/A could win, they wouldn't be letting them follow!

Depending on your mindset, it’s remarkably easy to spin something that could easily be viewed as positive, in a negative way.

And depending on your biased mindset, it's remarkably easy to spin something negative into something positive - typically happens when you like someone and don't want to believe bad things about them, right? So that includes giving people who are behaving badly a free pass for their bad behavior. I don't see how either view is less valid. You like someone, you see their behavior as understandable or positive. You don't like someone, you see their behavior as evidence of more of the same bad behavior. Neither is necessarily "spin"... which implies distorting information purposefully, which is also bad behavior, as is accusing someone of it.

I'm waiting (but not hopeful) for Jag and brother to come in last in a leg, and see their other side come out when they get afraid they can be eliminated. I really liked Jag on Big Brother at first. But when he came back into the house, he had a totally ruthless, cut throat attitude that was a complete 180 from the beginning of the game. If Jag is afraid he may lose, he will back stab everyone with glee and not feel bad about it. I'd like viewers see that side of him to get the whole picture. I'm team Izzy.

And as to Taylor, I feel bad for her. Yes she is annoying with trying to be perfect all the time. That has got to be hard on the soul. What I feel sorry about for her is being stuck with Kyland. He creeped me out on BB. He was a Svengali to Sarah Beth. And he probably does that to most women. I wouldn't be surprised that he tries to manipulate and control Taylor and we just don't see it because of the edit. She's a tough cookie, but dealing with him must be exhausting, and on the race, she doesn't have any outside support. She must have been counting the days on that race for when she could get away from him. He's a gas-lighter.

Just to clarify (because regrettably apparently clarification seems necessary), when I used the word spin I wasn’t implying any sort of deliberate malicious intent and I should have phrased it differently. All I was suggesting was that people’s perspectives can vary based on the personal experiences that they have had or are having at the time or change based on previous impressions. I’ll use myself as an example. Sometimes when I’m out for a drive I’ll think something like, “Wow! Why is everyone rushing around and driving so fast?” Then another time I may be out driving and be late for an appointment and I’ll think, “Why is everyone driving so slow?” Chances are people aren’t driving any differently. Rather, it’s my perspective that is different. If I see someone helping a person in need, I could think to myself, wow what a nice person to do that. Or I could think to myself, wow that person is just doing that to make himself look good or to make himself feel good. I find taking a positive view makes my life better.
