How about tonight's team that has one rock climber and one Cirque du Soleil performer?!??!! First big task was climbing a huge bamboo tower held together by ropes and get clues hanging at the top. Rock climber climbed that thing like Spiderman himself passing all other teams like they were standing still. Next big challenge was the two partners dancing in a traditional Chinese dragon costume, rear partner follows head partner, who was the Cirque du Soleil performer.

Yes, seemed like they had a big advantage in those tasks. But in other tasks, they may struggle. Those poor ladies who came in dead last didn't stand a chance. So fun to see Hong Kong! It's on my short list of destinations I want to visit. I'm thinking the male half of the couple that reunited over TAR is going to be this season's problem child. I'm getting "my ox is broken!" vibes.

So hard trying to keep track of 14 new teams. So sad there were 2 eliminated on the first task, especially sad to see the older 2 men go.
And yes, Brenda... that guy ... mad about being 2nd? Really? Why did she get back with him?

Yeah, but now there are only 12 teams, so y'all can just jump in next week. It was pretty much a foregone conclusion those two teams would be eliminated anyway.
Same vibes with the "TAR reunited us" couple. Who says it and means it when he is mad about coming in second on national television? He's lucky to even BE there. I'm afraid we are gonna see some ugly stuff from that guy that we would rather not witness.

I watched while my friend/landlady was in the air flying to Hong Kong!
It is a pretty scary oppressive place for actual Hong Kongers these days.. Her sister and brother still live there.
Interesting to see what they showed there.
I was sad that two teams were eliminated and liked both of them.
I didn't really know who anyone was most of the time..

the fork in the road seems like the choice of either thing. I guess this means you can't change selection or have to do both.

My son attended a watch party for Episode 1 of the Amazing Race in Hollywood. He's a producer for an LA Radio station and his DJ did an interview with them over the phone. Son said he saw lots of former AR participants. The couple that invited him was the Towns. I don't know their first names. Hoping a banner will be available soon.

Eggie, how cool!!! I have been to that Academy Museum before. It is a really cool place. When I was there they had the original ruby slippers from OZ and a whole Oz exhibit

I stopped watching the Amazing Race years ago because the editing was SO FRUSTRATING for me!! I could never tell who was actually ahead!! Ill be tuned in to this one for sure tho!
