spoiler do not continue if you don't want to know. I live in Orange County, CA as does Dennis Rodman. Rodman is supposedly turning over a new leaf, reformed, playing for the Long Beach Jam.. and there is an article in the sports section of today's Orange County Register.. and as the article goes on about this attempt and his life and such, the author starts in on the reinvention of Rodman: (and all the grammar flubs are hers, not mine) Rodman is trying to offer himself up as someone new, someone - don't laugh - who has reformed, swore off booze, refrained from bacchanalia that brought the Newport Police department to his oceanfront home a reported 80 times and wants Southern California to know he's "serious" about his basketball comeback. How serious could anyone take the Worm? Certainly, anything Rodman says or does should come with as many disclaimers as a 99-cent all-you-can-eat shrimp dinner. How serious should the NBA take a 14-rebound performance in an ABA game, with players half his age and nowhere near his experience of 14 NBA seasons, 11 rebounding titles and one NBA championship ring for each finger on his shooting hand? Perhaps this another Rodman reinvention, a desperate cry for attention, complete with the very public sacrifice that he's making by doing the grunt work for the ABA-standard $850 a week and no guarantees. He created his own cult of celebrity by parodying himself, by being outrageous and shocking, masquerading as a woman in a white wedding dress, dating Madaonna, marrying and unmarrying Carmen Electra, joining professional wrestling, writing "Bad AS I Want to Be," acting in "Double Team" with Jean-Claude Van Damme to getting eliminated last month on "Celebrity Mole". Which would mean, probably, that Dennis is NOT The Mole. This is from our paper, the article doesn't appear on the website that I can see.. Register

Or it's misdirection. Can't imagine something like that getting out.

Mocha, I agree, that's possible, but the article being buried in the sports section , I dunno. I WANTED him to be the Mole, personally. Article also said that after his DUI crash on his bike, his wife and someone from the basketball world had an intervention with him and he claims sobriety since some date. It was really a local article too.

okay. did anyone else see the show about Dennis that aired about 2 months ago? (was it on MTV??? I don't know). it showed his wife (i think they are married) and his assistant. it was all about his assistant telling dennis he needed to stop drinking and start working out again (or he was going to quit)if anyone in the NBA would take him seriously since he is so much older). dennis realized he needed to change his life (the partying). even though his lifestyle has been so bad, i still really like the guy and wish the best for him.

Oh duh! Thanks Mocha and Sea. It never occurred to me to look for the invisible ink! Very clever, Sea, and VERY good catch! Time for new glasses for me. Seriously.

This doesnt suprize me. I dont think producers would want to take a chance and ask such a loose cannon to be the mole. They need someone focused on the task and not self promotion. Dennis may have turned over a new leaf but it is too soon to trust that. Still thinking Tracey.
