Yes, some woman will be able to build back up their milk supply if they have to stop for awhile.

But she hadn't stopped producing milk, she just felt that her supply was diminishing.

She would have stayed had she not been blindsided. The breast milk was just a fake excuse for leaving. If that was really the case, she would have just left and not waited to be evicted.

Yes Dee, breast milk production is a supply demand thing. The more the baby gets the more you produce. Honestly, I could never express enough either. I also couldn't have voted to keep her after she cried and said her production had been reduced.

Thank you all so much. Seamonkey, you jogged my memory about the broken breast pump. I wonder why Keisha didn't ask for another one. Breast pumps aren't custom made, right?

Keshia says she is going to go out fighting, so she thinks begging to go home is fighting, LOL.

Correct Dee, but I think the issue is that she wasn't pumping enough so her milk stopping coming in. Seems like that is your body saying you've done enough, but that is JMO. My understanding is a year of Mother's milk is sufficient, and I would think her child is probably eating other things by now as well.

I think it was more of the missing bonding stuff rather than being able to breastfeed.

Apparently Marissa hit Mark in the ball-sack doing those stupid things in the hallway on the way to vote, I am watching to see if that is still in the show. for the West Coast airing.

Man Brandi is looking pretty tired.

Didn’t someone roll an ankle in that hallway? They need to stop it, It’s old and it was never cute...

I think there is nothing wrong with Keisha continuing to breastfeed... I breastfed all my kids as long as they needed it. My firstborn is now 30, and he breastfed for just over a year and I can’t tell you how often I thought, great, can’t blame me, I breastfed. I fully support moms that bottle fed, I sure was and turned out just fine! But, my child is hearing impaired, had lots of ear infections and I can’t tell you how often I was encouraged by doctors to breastfeed if I could. Also, there are milk allergies in our family...

So as far as I can see, to each their own, it’s not easy being a mom!

I just have to come out in Keisha's defense. I understand she took the job because she's a single mom and needs to support her child (maybe the baby's father is a deadbeat). But the stress of the house has made it difficult for her to pump. And it is not the same as actually breastfeeding.

For those who are saying her baby should be on solid food, every baby is different. My son had sensory issues (which weren't diagnosed until much later). He refused to eat solid food. He would actually gag and throw up. He drank mostly soy milk formula (allergic to cow's milk and I was not able to breastfeed) until he was three or four. It was a very long road to solid food. Every child is different. In some countries, women breastfeed their children until 4 or 5. It is the best nutrition and it is CHEAP. Don't judge a nursing mother for the choices she makes for her child.

I'll admit to breast feeding my daughter until right before her 2nd b day. My son until 18 mos. and I didn't have a pump. She must have been pumping in the DR? I don't recall her talking about pumping but I don't see everything they say or do.

I noticed her with the suction cups in her hands one day. I thought she was pumping under a blanket in her bed. There's not a lot of privacy for doing something like that. I can see why she was having trouble producing milk. I had trouble under good circumstances. It's not as easy as some women make it look.

The pump broke, and she couldn't pump.

That is what I thought Jimmer. Get another pump.

That was a lame excuse for quitting.

She was on The Talk yesterday so she got even more publicity.

Pumping is not the same as breastfeeding. Your milk can dry up even using a pump.
