Leave it to Kate to screw things up. That other task had to be more interesting than having them sit by a hole and catch fish 24 hours a day. And kiss them? What the heck is that?

Well looks like they did a vote, first the white room people and then the house for the final person.

I can understand why BB scrapped it....although I have NO idea why they wouldn't have checked information out like that first. They ask every other personal question known to man. According to BBBA it should also be something that will be addressed on the show, but I'm not sure about that. Apparently Kate was pregnant before with a very much wanted baby (meaning no abortion involved, as some had speculated), there were complications later in the birth and the baby died within hours of being born. I may dislike Kate's personality and her attitude, but that's one thing I do feel for her on.

Well I certainly wouldn't wish that on anyone but perhaps if you are that emotionally fragile, you should not be going on a show like Big Brother.

Care, they probably had known about Kate's situation, but didn't predict how the task was going to effect her so emotionally. They are supposed to be addressing it on the show from what I hear. I do wonder if this will make the audience sympathetic enough to save her this week, or will they decide the best thing to do is to get her out... and BBBA has a LOL snipe at Lil' Sis.... http://www.behindbigbrother.com/posts/updates/1122

Flagg, I don't think Kate is "emotionally fragile"...I'm sure it was very traumatic for her. And according to Kate, it was not that long ago so odds are it's still very fresh for her. Wilson is probably right that BB knew, but did not predict how hard it would be on her to do so. Personally, I don't think Kate was balanced enough to go on this show considering the anger she holds towards people that she deems to look better than she does (and I'm taking this straight from Kate's mouth in her admission to Emma that she felt inferior to her because of her looks). Saying you're going to "punch someone in the face", vent, outburst, or whatever...is never a good sign of stability in any form.

I agree about the "punch Emma in the face" comment, especially seeing as she is allegedly a lawyer and knows the rules on the show.

I've just watched the wednesday daily show about the canceled task. With BB knowing ahead of time that she had gone through the loss of her baby recently, it is obvious that this was all a ploy by the producers to get her past this eviction vote. She'll get a huge sympathy vote and unfortunately it looks like Jamie will go. He's been getting a lot of negative air time as well, with him refusing to participate, hiding in the house away from the sun, etc. Kate is much better for the show than Jamie. Jamie doesn't talk, hides away, doesn't even go in the sun. Kate causes fights and abut everybody. Why else would they have done it? I seriously doubt it could have been an oversight. It's too bad, when it started it looked like it might have been an interestng task, much better than the same old 24 hour shift task.

Please don't say that Flagg. Jamie is my fav underdog right now, a genuine geek good guy who deserves a second chance.

Hayley is in the bedroom crying because Bodie said she was "playing the game" and there to win the money. They are ALL there to win the money of course, and are all "playing the game" and yet for some reason it is considered this incredible insult. Do they really think anyone believes the conceit that they are only there "for the experience" and nobody cares about the money?

They all know everyone's here for the money Flagg, they just want to think everyone but themselves are there for the experience (so they can win the money).. and I don't think the edit Kate is getting is going to help...the oddsmakers have actually cut her odds.. for eviction: Kate 1.2-1 Jamie 6-1 Bodie 9-1 you've got to remember, most of the viewers who vote are teenage girls, so the male HM's will have an advantage.......I admit I thought the edit might have helped Kate, but ti doesn't look like it..

I think Kate has already built her bridge with the viewers. If this was BB's way of making her seem likeable(sp?) in some form, I think they tried just a teensy bit too late. Ya know, I thought of something funny the other day. Kate was one of the girls (TJ being the other) that claimed they hated plastic people and were about "being real".....yet she kisses Emma's cheek after receiving her chore for the week and then <42> about her behind her back? THEN to Emma's face says it's perfectly fine to slag someone off behind their back..........okay, where in ANY of that is that real? That just shows you're too chicken to say it to their face so you're doing it in the "safety" of behind them. Not to mention that she told Emma she didn't even want to have the conversation with her, which AGAIN shows Kate's too scared to say it to her face. The sad part is the biggest part of Kate's bravado and big mouth is an act. If she would learn to REALLY be real, be herself a bit more, I doubt seriously she'd be hated so much right now. Or disliked, whichever. I don't think it'd effect her much in staying over Bodie or Jamie, but she wouldn't be this disliked.

yes ... that "playing the game... money ... blah blah blah" has always been one of the very few downsides to BBAUS for me. How absolutely ridiculous for any of them to moan and point fingers about this. a) it is a game b) it involves money DUH!!!!

I've GOT to weigh in on all of this. First "being real" has NOTHING to do with confrontation and expression about all of your thoughts and feelings. Being real is about being true to who you are and what you believe no matter the situation. "Being real" is so often used as an excuse for rudeness and nastiness...i.e., saying things to hurt others so you can feel better yourself. That's just mean and spiteful. People gossip and talk behind others' backs. They analyze and discuss their friends, enemies and events. It's a way of processing information. It's what we do here on this board. It's how society is able to maintain order and control. If everyone was blabbing how they feel every minute of the day, it would be chaos...think road rage times a billion. You don't have to be scared to avoid confrontation, that type of thing takes a lot of emotional and physical energy. The people who you see constantly confronting are those who draw energy from the negativity of others. Camilla and Vesna are really good examples of this. The most honest thing that Kate said to Emma in their confrontation was to refuse to stop talking behind Emma's back. It's a natural form of processing, why should Kate be denied it because Emma demands it? It was ridiculous. What I think Bodie is particularly good at is figuring out what things will push people's buttons and then pushing them and sitting back and watching the fallout. What is his reason for telling Hayley that she's "playing the game"? From what I read, it was something he brought up casually and dropped on her out of nowhere. Was he trying to get a reaction? Considering that he and his little group aren't too fond of her, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. The accusation of "playing the game" has a power both in the house and out of it. It means you are being fake in your interactions and relationships in the house. What's more, it's an accusation you can't disprove, so it's just hanging there. It's a very powerful and sneaky way of making someone look bad while maintaining an air of innocence. Don't get me wrong, I think Hayley is "playing the game" but I don't think she's playing the game consciously. She's doing what comes natural to her, which is to try to be friendly and maintain positive relationships with most people while maintaining control of things as much as possible. Hayley does not seem like the type of person who enjoys conflict, though she relishes attention. Because she avoids conflict, negative interactions with people won't get her the attention and control she craves. But she's also a person who gets that PERCEPTION is everything. If people THINK she's playing a game by being nice, it doesn't matter if she's being real, because people won't believe her. Like I said, it's a very powerful accusation. I am most fascinated by Andrew's reaction. He basically came out and admitted that he IS playing the game, in the sense that he appears nice and friendly to everyone but has no bond or feelings for them. Since that has been my take on him from the beginning, I love that he said it to Hayley so bluntly. It's going to come back and bite him in the butt eventually, but it's great!

OH, I get that it's human nature for people to talk about others behind their backs, everyone on this earth does it and I completely agree with that. BUT, I don't get why it's ridiculous of Emma to ask that Kate stop talking about her behind her back. To ME, and maybe I'm just off, I think Emma was asking her that if she had something to say, say it to her face and I have ALWAYS agreed with that. Does it stop people from gossping behind other people's backs? Nope, but, at least Emma called Kate on being so ridiculous over a chore and even Kate herself admitted later that it was a build up of insecurities and what not. I have been guilty of talking behind others backs, but, then again, I've never felt the need to punch someone or call them a dog for giving me a chore to do. If you recall, Kate also said in her audition tape that she "loves a good argument". If Kate loves a good argument, then why all the "behind the back", "I don't want to discuss it with you" crap? And I agree on the "playing the game" nonsense--EVERYONE there is playing the game, I don't care who it is. I have never, ever understood why that's such an insult or a crime in this game. They ALL signed up to do it and every last one of them is.

Anyone know why the feeds have been on the "highlight reel" for a while now? I just got home and turned on the feeds and have seen nothing but the censor clips. There should be somebody up at the fishing hole, Andrew and Emma if I go by the last diary entry 2 hours ago. "Bigger than Thomas!" and "Walk on water!" chants over and over are driving me crazy

Yeah, but the games are good!! I like that the games seem to be more gender neutral. It seems like last year they were all really physical and favored the men. This year it seems that either can win. So glad Demet isn't in the final two, that didn't seem good to me, she needs to be in the house with everyone so she is not an automatic target for elimination.

I only caught the last 2 events. The final didn't seem all that fair, relying entirely on luck. Hayley got like 10 questions wrong and then it switched and the timer went off and Susannah lost without even a chance to answer or even hear the question. That could have been SO easily fixed by Big Brother. I wonder if the home audience on the broadcast got to see the actual timer or not.

LOL, Flagg, I think that was the point. Hayley figured it out, it wasn't whether the questions were correct, but whether the arrow was on you. she told andrew on the true/false she wasn't even listening to the questions she just wanted the arrow off of her.

Unless they showed the timer on the screen then BB could have ended it whenever they wanted to and decided themselves who won. This year the competitions just seem very poorly designed and not thought out very well. Like the soy sauce one, the balls were too light to do anything to the walkers so what was the point? The bowls on the end weren't big enough and got filled before the competition was over. The worst was the way Kara was voted out. Having them do it in front of each other was just stupid. With only 3 votes, of course the 2nd voter will vote the same as the first to make sure they themselves are safe. Once Demet said Kara it was over. If she had said Harrison then Kara would have decided who went. And then the arena thing with Harrison and Demet, what was the point of that other than filler? It had no bearing on the outcome of who went in the house.

Ok people, I finally have the first of what I'm sure will be MANY captures from the AUS stream. You can access it via the willandjanelle.com message board........ http://bbfeedcaps.proboards74.com/index.cgi ... just look for the section entitled "Live Feed Captures." It's a clip from earlier today of Bodie talking to TJ about where their relationship is going. FYI, the board and site are in the middle of a makeover and will eventually become the new bbaddiction.com
