Yes, why can't the US version have "the voice" that is commanding. Instead we have the HGs calling the various voices Bob or some other friendly name.

turkey slapping? I am almost afraid to ask. i know most years they have some kind of animal. But somehow i think this might be the same as 'choking the chicken'???! Canadian slang. NO kidding Dipo! I get so tired of the HGs calling out "who is this?" and the voice tells them their name and they ahve a friendly convo. I'd love to see the USA version get down and dirty. no more Mr Nice Guy Big Brother!!

Sunshyne, not to get too graphic as the whole thing COMPLETELY blew up last year, but 2 of the guys "assaulted" one of the girls last year by holding her down while the other slapped her across the face with his ____. Now, the girl (Camilla) had climbed into bed with them (John and Ashley) hoping for something to happen....they had been flirting and when the boys got the dumb idea to even do it to her, she said "you're not going to turkey slap me are you?" and laughed. I should also point out that after that happened, she continued to lay there for some time I believe before getting out of bed and telling the boys goodnight. NOT saying what they did made it okay, but per Big Brother rules it was deemed as harrassment and the boys were immediately asked to leave the house the next day (I also believe there was pressure to make the boys leave once the tape of the incident had been leaked all over the 'net and a ton of Camilla supporters called it assault). There was a big uproar in Australia last year to have the show axed by a lot of political people and people against reality tv in general.

more rumors: -one of more of the HM's will have a sibling in the house (it's been done before, so I'm thinking not) -they're going to have a fishing pond, and they have to catch, clean, and cook their own fish (it might fit in with the "going green" theme)

Wilson I just read this, LOL! GMTA. I was coming here to post about it, lol. Great to see you again this year, btw! :D I'm HOPING they don't have another relation in the house this year. I know last year was mother/daughter, but still. No more relations, ON ANY BB! Oh please, oh please. STRANGERS.

Well they've announced one of the HM's has a mild case of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder... http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/story/0,23663,21540405-10229,00.html

well, I'd guess that they'll have a very clean house then. If I recall correctly, excessive cleaning is the 'usual' way that OCD is manifested. There is no way that a selfdestructive ocd would be allowed in the house.

And if they WOULD, they'll have even more on top of them than they did last year with the turkey slap incident. I think with them saying MILD case, they're stressing that they at least don't believe the person with OCD to be so bad that being in the house would cause severe mental distress. I don't think BBAUS wants to mess with as much bad publicity as it got last year. I also think it's no coincidence that they're introducing someone with OCD NOW when they're doing such a GREEN, CLEAN BB. I really am interested how this is going to work though. To me it sounds a little bit like they're going to try and get back to the basics of what BB was when it started. And I'd love that, really....... but I don't know how keen I am on watching a show that is starting to sound more like a documentary about clean air and water conservation.

I'm a slacker guys, sorry! I was actually informed last NIGHT that this BBAUS site was up and running and I didn't post it! So yes, you can now register at the site and subscribe for BB07 Premium! http://registration.bigbrother.3mobile.com.au/index.cfm?action=news

This "green house" concept sounds like it could actually be interesting if they don't muck it up... and this sounds interesing from the official site.. shhh... This year, you'll find out about the House in a whole new way… You'll learn more about the Housemates than ever before… And someone very, very close to Big Brother is set to become a massive part of your BB experience… Who will it be? What will they say? And what will Big Brother think when he finds out? (my guess, they've done stuff with mothers in other BB's so maybe "Big Mother" will be a big part of the site or something?)

Oh noooooooooooo, please don't tell me they're restricting like the UK does! I haven't tried registering yet! ETA: Okay, I entered my regular zip code here and it took the first 4 numbers and went with it. It let me through registration although NOW there doesn't seem to be a country option, just states/territories in and around Australia. Also, I got through to the premium part and went to pay for it.......entered all my info, and it told me invalid phone number. Does the US have a country code or something? I can't believe they're restricting out of country now!

Okay nevermind, BQ.....just enter in your zip code, it'll take the first 4 numbers. I got through to Premium and my problem with my phone number is I didn't enter the 1 before it (and I took out the - marks)........it went through and said my payment was processed. :D

BQ, go to the BBBA forum, someone there posted the post code for all of Australia I believe. It's in the thread where they posted about the site being up. Using one of those should get you through!

I knew someone here would figure it out. Thanks for the postcode info. I was going into panic mode when I went to subscribe and it kept bouncing back to me. First they email me to remind me to subscribe. Then they wouldn't let me. They should not tease me like that. It wasn't nice. But now I am all set up and ready. Can't it start right now?

well they are certainly being mean this year....apparently, they'res no prize money this year (and the HM's aren't being told this-they've already gone into lockdown)-my guess is the winner will get a "green" house or something.... more rumors: Two HM's will be voted in the house from a list of finalists the first night... A secret will be "released" the first night (note it doesn't say revealed) and this is definite, not sure if it's been mentioned: They're doing the "golden ticket" thing the UK did last year to put a random member of the public in the house (it's been going on since late February)...

Yes, Wilson, that's been the Starburst Golden Key thing that has been talked about......I'm wondering if the Two HMs being voted in are from that? They've gotta be kidding......no prize money? Are they the first BB to do that?

If there is no prize money. Does that mean they will not be penalized by losing money when they break the rules?

HAHAHA, what if they take them through the penalty system like the last two years, making them think the entire season there IS prize money.....then at the end, "OH, there's no money, you WON A HOUSE!" lol

and they're not giving them cars either...(the cynic in me says they lost their car sponsorship) on a second thought on the no prize money...I'm wondering if it's actually they START with no money in the bank, but then they add money for winning challenges, meeting goals and whatnot (and then the fines system still comes into play- they could even do individual accounts)..I always thought the US version would be a lot better if they did that actually. It's going to be really interesting Sunday methinks...

Well I registered and signed up for the premium service and it said I would get an email. Haven't received it yet, did anyone else subscrib and get notification right away. Oh and did anyone have any problems with the site? The info squares that were white didn't show my typing unless I went back and highlighted it, it was weird.
