Can anyone tell me half a good reason why Sharon, "another under the radar sneaking into F4 hamster", should win this BB? Yes, she's a nice girl - compared to a lot of the others - but what about playing the game? I want to feel okay with her winning this 'BB-DR meddling' station in life, it's looking pretty good for her right now with the number of votes from the loser-friends at the jury house, but I'm not impressed. btw I don't think there is half a good reason

Costacat, according to
quote:Klaw73 Member 08-21-2006 Thursday, April 10, 2008 - 5:30 pm Sharon and Sheila appear to have selective memory. It was Natalie who warned Sharon that her own alliance was turning on her and was trying to get her evicted. It was at that point that Sharon tried to create a "girls alliance" with Sheila and Natalie. Instead of owning it, Sheila and Sharon lied to the boys and said it was all Natalie's doing and that she was targeting the them. Now Sharon is taking great pleasure in making sure Natalie's alliance turns on her all while making her out to be something she is not. Neither Sheila nor Sharon would even be in the game if it were not for Natalie. Blech!

but what about playing the game? She has played the game and as the saying goes `there is more than one way to skin a cat` <horrible saying imo> but it really does apply to the BB game. Previous winners have shown that.

I think Sharon has really played the game, I see being under-the-radar as a legitimate tactic. . She played a significant part in the progress of Team Pink by being trusted by both sides. . She stopped Josh being evicted by offering herself to Adam as a pawn to get out Chelsia rather than her partner. . She's made strong alliances with some key players in the game, like Sheila and Ryan. . She's never upset anyone or got them mad at her, to make herself a target. . She played a key part in getting Natalie out of the HOH comp last week. . She does a lot of stuff behind the scenes just by reinforcing the right things in what others say, or pushing something ever so subtley. . And she's been nominated five times and not been evicted!

Thanks Urgrace! With regards to Sharon, I fully think that she's playing the game. She may be playing a game that you don't like or wouldn't play, but if flying UTR gets her to F4 (and that's where she's at right now), then all the more power to her. At this point, I'm not willing to conjecture on why someone should win, as it's still up to THEM to get to the final 2. THEN I can say "I think so and so should win because...". But a half reason, or a whole reason, at F4 when there is still one eviction and the "big" triple play to get to F2? Too early for me!

The only UTR person who won BB was Lisa, and that was because the jury wasn't sequestered. That's reason enough not to use UTR as a strategy, IMO--juries don't like UTR players.

If Sharon played hockey...and the pov is with those oversized golf clubs...she might have a chance! I remember Janelle playing hockey for pov...I think!! I have selective memory too..

The question wasn't who went UTR and won, it was who got to F4 that way and why she (Sharon) should win. And didn't Jason basically play UTR, having Danielle do all his dirty work?

Oh maybe a luxury. No food comps this late in the game. Thanks Mysticlady!

Urgrace~I simply have no respect for under the radar. Offering yourself on the block when you KNOW you aren't going home isn't brave or good game play. I guess if I enjoyed Sharon, I would be able to give her kodus. But, I don't.

Have they uncovered what the "pre-existing relationship" is? I assumed it was the little furfriends which came in together -

It was a luxury comp. I don't believe they have figured it out that it is the guinea pigs that had a pre-existing relationship.

Seems like it was a reward/penalty competition. For fun I guess?? Nope they're still not sure about the pre-existing relationships. Maybe the guineapigs don't look like siblings.

Offering yourself on the block has pretty devastating results for Dustin last season. Obviously, it wasn't good game play, but it was a top 10 priceless moment.

Just wanted to add my thoughts on the UTR strategy. To me it's just as legitimate as any other. Same as I often find subtle personalities possessing more depth and cleverness than the "in your face" types. I see nothing wrong with being observant, watching others battle it out, then making your move. One has to work with what they've got. Not that you can't be both, but I prefer a smart player to a real physical one. At the same time, I was a big fan of both Evel Dick and James, so, feel free to disregard whatever I say.

I agree Foolscap and others who say Sharon did play the game. UTR is a great strategy to get to this point in the game. I think now we'll have to see what happens. If Sharon doesn't win anything then maybe she's not such a good player but I do think she's played a smart game up to now. And really she should've won the HOH comp yesterday. That was just ridiculous to call the guinea pigs a "pre-existing relationship"! Also, I don't have the feeds but I thought it was Natalie who came up with the girls alliance when she, Sharon and Sheila were all tanning. That's what I got from watching the show anyway. Was that really how it happened or was it the way that Urgrace posted?

Marmosquirm, nothing is like it is on the show! They do quite a lot of editing to put together the story they want. I remember it the way Urgrace posted above.
