Lindaceles, I just finished reading the lfp at Morty's and was coming back to post about it as I hadn't seen anything on this board. They reported the story, but did not report that Adam said 'f...in' Jews. It said:

11:30 pm BBT: Sheila and Natalie are taking the tinfoil out of Sharon's hair.

The boys are in the kitchen and Adam is telling Ryan the story of how his grandfather came to America from Poland. Adam tells him his grandfather was taken by the Nazis from his home in Poland and made to work in the concentration camps. He was Jewish so, they didn't kill him but, made him throw the bodies into pits and also shot Jews in the rooms and lock the doors for gassing. One night Adam's grandfather had a dream that the Virgin Mary hid him under her dress. He escaped from the camp and ran to a train station where there was a lady with a big, long dress on. He hid under it and when the Nazi police ran to the depot they asked the lady if she had seen anyone run by... she told them no. From there he went back to his home where he hid and lived in tall trees until he could get back to France where an Aunt lived. (His mother left food for him at the bottom of the tree.) From France he came to America. Recently, his Grandfather received notice from Geneva about compensation and he now gets $400 a month for the rest of his life.

I was thinking what an incredible story. OK...really upset now...

Monday, April 14, 2008 - 12:02 am From Chewpito on the Adam Thread
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sandra, it was actually kinda intresting... Adam said his grandfather was in a concetration camp...but because he wasnt jewish (he was polish)..he was forced to do the dirty work in the camps... He was able to escape by hiding under a ladys long skirt and hid in a tree for a lengthy time...because the dogs could sniff out the escapes.... Someone (not sure who) would leave food for him at the bottom of the tree and he would come down to eat... eventually he came to america with his family (not sure how many) and he still to this day recieves 400 dollars a month for compinsation of his time in the camp...

When Adam said what you wrote above it was more like "how messed up it was for him (his grandfather) when he had to do what he had to do"... His grandfather is in his 90's now I think he said....

It was a sad story.."

Oh, sorry Jimmer...then I guess you should remove my post. It was a live feed thing, that's why I was coming back here. Sorry!

I agree, it was a very sad story, and the whole thing was very moving. I think it was apalling what he went through. My objection was the same as others had to Ryan's comments. If you have it recorded, go back and play it and hear the adjectives used.

Lindaceles, I am appalled and speechless at Adam's comment. (I don't have the feeds, so thank you for sharing.) I agree, how come no outrage? I find that outragous. And VERY disheartening. Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter what I think. I'm only a f*cking Jew.

I found the clip and put it in the youtube thread.

It was a sad story, and I think the F work was just horribly misplaced in the sentence by Adam in describing what a horrible job they made his grandpa do.

(((((Mame)))))

I think I'm going over to a few more places. Morty's was different in another part, too, saying "he was Jewish, so they didn't kill him" and I didn't think that made sense.

Why is he still in the house? BB got a HG up in the middle of the night to kick her out after she said the "N" word. He should have gone last night. Period. Did they not learn after Amber last year?????

I'm not defending them by any means, but I don't think any of them know how to describe something without using that word in front of it. Everything from F'n eggs to F'n Team Christ, to even their names....F'n Sheila....Natalie..etc. It's the way they talk and it's sad.

I was going to say that as well Gumby. They throw the f word around so much that it is practically meaningless. Look at how many times they used it in that three minute clip.

That's kind of what I was trying to say. All I thought that happened was he picked the wrong part of the sentence to add the F word. He didn't literally mean it the way it sounded.

In my opinion, BB US won't remove anyone from the house, no matter what they do, unless they're expendable. Scott was expendable. The other guy, forget his name, was expendable. If someone from BB's so called "storyline" does something awful, they won't be removed. Their storyline comes first. Everything else is secondary.

All just my opinion, of course.

Thank you so much Naja! I just watched it three times and I agree, I don't think he meant it that way. It was a very unfortunate way to say what he said. That, however, doesn't excuse it for me. And you are right, Gumby, I've heard them say the F before TC and I just cringe. Or OMFG. It is just so insulting to me.

Bbnine, it was BBUK and I don't know what season. I saw the Youtube last summer while watching BBUS. It wasn't the newscaster that got in trouble it was a short-haired blond young lady.

To me, it's WORSE than described. Adam not only said it EXACTLY as Lindaceles recounted it, BUT then Adam laughed. QUOTE: "His job was to throw the F*ckin' Jews in the pit... and the... bodies in the pits, and the chambers. His job was to throw them in the gas chambers and close the door and lock 'em in." (Then Adam laughs)

It was an interesting story Adam told...very sad.

I'm fine with the f-word...it's now become almost common so it's lost it's shock value to me. I work in the library, and you wouldn't believe how much the high school kids swear...they use all the words and then some..

Mods, I've been hearing the new Austrailian BB is going to be starting on the 28th....can we get a folder up? (Perfect timing if our finale is the 27th, eh?)

In truth, I agree 100% with everything Gumby said. The "f" word is used very cavalierly in this house. It's ALMOST like watching a bunch of "nerds" trying to sound "cool" and they think the only way they can impress is to outswear the other. I want to think that any of the three major violations of political correctness can probably be attributed to that mindset. Sadly for them, it doesn't take away the consequences and how they are viewed by those outside the hamster cage. If it is true that Adam has lost his job because of the earlier comment, I think that is really unfortunate. I pray that deep down, neither Ryan nor Adam had any intent to disparage anyone when they used those words. Having watched since season 3, it does seem like the swearing gets worse the further they go into the game.

And it gets better. (sarcasm here)

Adam says his grandfather receives a lifetime pension for being a prisoner of war. "THey called him 4 or 5 eyars ago from Geneva. They gave him a settlement. They give him 400 a month for war-crimes." Adam smiles and says... "It's crazy right?"

I agree it's a sad story. For the F'n Jews, who were gassed in the chambers, not for his grandfather who has a good life and a little pension (reward) for his time during the war. As Adam says, 'casino money'.
