Even though he participates, James tries to "challenge" people. My son has a friend who does this i dont see it as challenging. I see it as trying to gain more insight as to their choice. I love people like that. Most of my friends and family are like that}

Has anyone tried to use the chat here? I tried to log in but it said my IP was blacklisted. Why?

Missyb, that is James' way of psyching them out. They aren't quick enough to come back at him about it. I was thinking of another plan James might have up his sleeve. He can't say anything until after the POV Ceremony, because Ryan has the POV, but after Ryan does take Sheila off (as is expected) and puts James up, James might then decide it's the right time to tell the others that Ryan and Sharon are working together. It might be a longshot, but after everything Sharon told Sheila tonight, the house might think it's too dangerous to keep her. Just a thought. I hope it doesn't happen, because I want the 4 to stay together until the Final 4 and then they can do whatever.

Sun, it depends on why you want the info. James is looking to exploit weaknesses not gain insight into his fellow hgs.

I missed it. What did Sheila say about "common knowledge?" Thanks.

Most telling to me about this game is how no one really just wants to just talk/chat. Every question they are just OK NEXT rather than seeing this game for what it is..a way to facilitate conversation that wouldn't ordinarily come up. I have one like it and I love playing it w/friends. It's amazing how much you can learn about people you even know well. I think part of it with the HG is they are scared to just talk since most stuff gets thrown back at them. But it's such a waste they way they are doing this. Just shooting out sound bites versus any real conversations. Pity!

I don't see it as him gaining insight either. If you watch the things he points out in others for them to notice about theirselves he often times will do the same behavior himself at another time. Not sure why exactly he does it, but I think that James himself WANTS to believe his intention is to gain insight into others, but I also see him as far too selfish and lacking that selflessness to actually take the information he is questioning others on and process it too deeply. It's like he kept saying " I did not rag on Nat for her abortions when Chelsea did" yet, he also never took time to question Nat on her reasons nor try and stop Chelsea from her comments. It is bizarre to me how he can seem so deep at times, yet is actually pretty much a surface deep type personality. It's amusing to me also, how if you watch how he has developed relationships, they actually do not seem to be very bonding. Like I see his relationship with Josh one of convience only for James and do not see him even trying to maintain anything w/ Josh outside of the house as James seems to be just an instant, in the moment, gratification type person.

Kittyab, I've never heard of that. Someone did mention it was a new chatroom tonight. Maybe they don't know your IP?

Cricket, she said that the 7 wonders of the world were common knowledge, not book learned. (is that an ok expression?)

I don't think it's a waste. It may promote conversation later. And if I were there, I would also be afraid of having stuff thrown back at me. They are learning a little bit more about each other if they care to listen, a little bit at a time and it's relatively quiet time. Who knows where it may lead.

I can't imagine why that would happen, Kitty. We had quite a few people in chat tonight but it is quiet there now. There is a chat help thread so if you post the error message you received there we will try our best to help you get in another day.

Cricket, when they all got on Nat from having no clue about the 7 wonders of the World (not even what they are, but she never heard the saying), she really wanted to know and everyone wanted to move right past it. She got all upset and said how its not being stupid and the usual chat came up. BTW I think they were rushing past it because even though all the others rolled their eyes etc, none seemed to know the 7 wonders and I think that's why they wanted to get away from the question fast. So, that's when Sheila said "it's not about being smart, it's about common knowledge." To me that seemed a double whammy at Nat, although I don't think that was Sheila's intent. Phew hard to easily explain that.

Missy, I would agree if the HG had a history of converations but they seldom do outside of game. I would like to think you are right, but I just don't see if, if they can't even manage to have a convo during a conversational game. We'll see.
