Although I respect Natalie's gameplay, I think it's arrogant for her to brag that God is helping her (acting like he doesn't love some of the other players as much as he loves her). what bothers me is how houseguests like Natalie continually preach about how good they are and how God wants them to win the game. I struggle because I love to see Christians on reality shows that openly pray to God and lean on Jesus to get them through. It goes so far against the grain of "the world", that it is impressive to see people who are willing to show their faith so openly. So my sister and I felt bad because we thought that because Natalie talks about God so much that we should "back her" as fellow Christians. The problem is that although she has made a point to glorify Him (which I love to see), her continuous comments about a "good/evil side" REALLY bothered me. The funny thing was I felt really bad that I did not want to root for her...I mean come on! We're sisters in Christ Jesus!! I SHOULD want her to win!! LOL And although it is one of the most popular accusations towards Christians (unfortunately), I would have to say that it was the hypocrisy that affected me. For her to somehow believe that she was on the "good" side along with Adam, Sheila and Ryan; that they were somehow playing a "morally better" game, was preposterous to me. It's not like Chelsia, James, Josh and Sharon "the bad side" were immoral scumbags....everyone in that house has played the game in the same way. Gossiping, backstabbing, giving your word and then taking it back, lying to someone telling them "they are safe" or "You have my vote!" and then doing the opposite. EVERYONE in that house has done that at one time or another so it really bothers me that she would continuously defend "her side", claiming that they were somehow playing a more honorable/upright game. I think that God deeply and passionately loves all the Houseguests (yes, even James), and hopes that someday they turn to Him. But you never can tell what kind of foundation is being laid...at some point in the future what they are reading today may come back to them in a time when they TRULY need it...life is like that, isn't it? Even though it is difficult to watch so much boasting of God's Word, and not much LIVING it. I also hope that God's Word remains in their hearts and will mean something to them later on. As you said...But you never can tell what kind of foundation is being laid....speaking and reading God's Word will plant seeds in their hearts. That's all we can hope for. As a Christian it's hard to think that other peoples impressions of Christianity might be based on Nat (or Amber from last year). This is a stickler for me. As Christian's, we need to be very conscientious about how we represent God's kingdom!!! Unfortunately, the world is usually searching for any little thing that they can find wrong. To see if there is anyway that this "Christian faith" isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Especially newcomers!!! Sometimes the only avenue that God has to reach the world is by example through His followers. So how important is it for us to make sure that they can very surely see Jesus living in us!!! I'm not saying that I myself have never set a bad example!! (we all have bad days when we have moments of un-Christianlike behavior) But there is a big difference between, maybe 10 people, witnessing my bad attitude if I'm hungry or tired, and the MILLIONS that are witnessing the antics in this house by "Christians". Sadly, you are held much more responsible for your actions when they are done in front of such a vast TV audience. There are just so many more people to watch and say to themselves "That is Christianity??". It's just such a hard thing to bring a relationship with Jesus into a scheming immoral game like Big Brother!!! And thank you so much Roxip!! I have never read anything by Maya Angelou but I will definitely be sharing it with my family!! It was beautiful.

Roxip and everyone, FYI - as much as I love Maya Angelou... evidently it's an urban legend that she wrote that lovely poem above. Snopes not only explains that, it has the original poem and credits the actual poet. http://www.snopes.com/glurge/christian.asp

I have absolutely zero interest in what James did OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE. He's an adult, it's his life, and he can do what he wants. I'm interested in what he does INSIDE the house. And I hope he kicks that team to the floor this week!

Adam is weighing the options. If James wins the veto the out come would be the same. Perhaps Adam is hoping to lull James into a false sense of security. If he does not feel to pressured he may not win the veto.

He will be trying just as hard to win that POV just to make sure the noms stay the same. He will not be taking ANY chances.

James knows darned well if he doesn't win the POV, there's a good chance that someone will come off and he'll go up. He's not stoopid. I love that Adam didn't put James up. I love that he put Sheila up, too. I think it should make for an interesting few days. And I will totally LOL if James wins POV and takes Sharon off, and Adam has to put up Nat or Ryan. Buh bye!!

Dang Mame, today is just not my day. I was wrong on a song I thought was sung by Reba McIntyre and on that poem (although I do believe Dr. Angelou has quoted it...I'll check your snopes link tomorrow). But it is a GREAT poem, IMO.

I hope that Nat gets to be Matty's birthday present! Wouldn't that be great, I used to like her but I can't stand listening to her anymore! Go James kick their butts. I would love to see Matty's face if Nat enters the jury house and then Nat's face as he looks horrified that his stalker has moved in!

Again Natalie opened her 'pot' and called out the kettle. Apparently from yesterday's feeds after the nomination ceremony she declared that God would no longer look after Adam in the game because he did not nominate James. Natalie just doesn't 'get it'. Someone posted yesterday about Jason from BB3 and his beliefs. I couldn't agree more, he never preached and played the game with class. The same can be said for Kaysar.

(((Roxip))) I like that poem too, and I'm not Christian. Wouldn't it be neat if Adam wins POV and says, Oops, I made a mistake... I'm changing my nom. Takes Sheila off the block and says, Here James, have a seat! LOL, THAT would poke a stick in BB's meddling 'eye'.

Actually it would be neater, for me at least, if Adam won POV, changed his mind, took off Sheila and put up Ryan or Natalie for their treatment of him.

And TC wasn't acting it last night when they were planning their little spitting and hitting party. Planning how far they could go without getting kicked out. Oh wait ... isn't that what the other team was bashed for?

I think that stuff was being planned because one of TC had already had it done to her. Turnabout is fair play and all that. Yes?
