As I'm sitting here watching Natalie paint another picture, and talking about doing a naked picture of herself to send Matty for his Birthday, I wonder....do you think the HG's will put her pictures of them up on E-bay, and who do you think will do it first? Has she done a picture of each one of them?

I heard she tried to draw a lifesize pic of James' member, but there wasn't enough paper in the house.

Betz...Chelsia wouldn't let her do one. I don't think she's done James yet, either. Or Adam. But I'm not sure about James and Adam...I'm only sure about Chelsia refusing her.

i heard chels ask her to do a portrait. She probably refused Later due to the falling out. as for the topic of Nat's pics, I personally wish she would stick to plantlife and colourscapes, she seems to have great talent in that area. the cartoon portraits that arent carticatures(sp?) and look to me like what we used to do in Grade 8, I'm not sure anyone would buy them. But her real artwork has much more potential,IMHO I posted a link to some online art in Her Fan Thread.

I also heard Chelsia ask Natalie to do a portrait, however, it was insincere and sarcastic and she joked to her group about it. Shortly afterward, she blew up at Natalie. As for Natalie's artwork...I truly appreciate any artwork. Form from chaos delights me. Her colors are vibrant. Her characters original. I saw a Britney Spears she did that was fantastic. She has her own style...and any artist admires that.

Sunshyne, you apparently haven't checked out the HG ebay sales. They sold everything. I was shocked Danielle's BB canvas tote bag went for an outrageous amount - I forget but I'm thinking about a $1000. Jen even sold a slop bucket lol.

she is using nail polish, I am sure that isnt what she uses to paint/draw when she isnt in the house. I think they are awesome, esp considering she is using polish and the brush that is in the polish, not pro brushes. Brushes are the key in makeup application and I would assume the same would be true for paintings

After taking oil and water colour lessons for the past 2 years, I have learned to appreciate anyone's efforts. I do think her portraits of the houseguests do look kind of the same but hey, nail polish and napkins. Natalie has talent, her stuff isn't my taste but I think she is good at what she does. There is a childlike quality to her work but there is also a childlike quality to her.

If I liked the picture she did of me, I would keep it (I collect all kinds of artwork) but if I didn't like it, I would sell it on E-Bay. And if you look at most of the bb9 hgs, do they seem to have an appreciation of art? This isn't a slam, they are all pretty young and haven't formed a lot of interests yet (as evidenced by their conversations on a daily basis) BB is not exactly the road to riches that so many hgs think it is so they probably want to cash in as much as they can.

HI pamy, she is using real watercolour paints. They got paints with the crafts for BBAD. After everyone went to bed Nat painted a nude selfportait for matt. as she was doing it I had a flashback of that letter that Nick sent for Dani when she won HOH. LOL
((willwill, I've never been at ebay other than by accident when I was trying to find out some info about a product0 I've heard you can sell almost anything on there. A guy back east Canada sold a snow bank for thousands. Someone actually showed up with a truck and shovel to take it away ha ha For charity I think.))

Many of the people who are now considered significant artists used very cheap materials for their artwork (they didn't have anything better). Which is a problem for collectors when that now very expensive piece of art that they bought is falling apart. I don't think I would buy Natalie's artwork but I do think she has talent.

There are also many famous artists who struggled their whole lives to be able to afford the materials to paint. Many were not recognized as Masters until after they died. as for Childlike two dimensional art...I think Grandma Moses was famous for that. Her pics had a real charm to them.

I think this is the final product. I still can't believe she did it on a paper towel. Do you think BB would really let it get to Matt before the finale???

Pamy...these were the first paintings she has done with the watercolors. All the rest were done with nail polish.

I did hear Sheila say she was keeping the painting Natalie did yesterday, and putting it in her bathroom, but I'll bet that Matty gets his right onto E-bay, LOL. On the other hand, this could be her big break. I bet there are fans out there who would definitely pay to get one of her pictures.

Well, I wouldn't pay anything to get one of her pics, LOL, but I'm sure there are people out there who would pay for just about anything to do with BB. It would be funny if BB took one of them and framed it to put on the wall in the house for BB this summer...

well if Picasso and Van Gogh are considered master artists, I think Natalie definitely falls in the general artist category. I think she has talent...I remember the paintings she did that were shown at her work place, and I thought they were very good. I definitely liked them better than Picasso's work.

I think art is in the eye of the beholder and also can be hugely a "fad" thing.. so if a certain artist's work fetches a high price, people will flock to buy that work. I think Natalie clearly has talent and should take more classes. Personally I'm not wild about her subject matter, but that's just me. I've watched as she drew a person and seem to me that at the beginning she used certain techniques and then at some point she goes too far with the shading (yes, this was nailpolish but I've seen it in her other stuff) and of course the signature sort of overpoweres the actual artwork. Bottom line to me is that she has an eye, talent, some training and she believes in herself, so more training should greatly benefit her, plus she'd probably enjoy it.

Wish I could draw like her! Heck, I'm still drawing stick figures the way I did in kindergarten. Thank God for clipart!
