I mean, can this get more obvious?? That's too bad because those are the three I like among the newbies. However, the fact that two cannot be nominated (Dani and Porsche (not my car!), and the fact that they're keeping those who are willing to come on their side (the vets), this leaves those three as targets and if Rachel is successful, Cassi will be gone first, unless POV can save her.

The way the game is set up, does not leave much for my imagination... I noticed the lack of interest in "guessing the strategies" on these boards (compared to previous years), so, it's not just me... BB producers found the strategies for them...

I do not think Lawon is much of a target. I do think Cassi and Dom are the two main targets. I think they may put up Dominic and Adam just because if Adam ended up going it would not be the end of the world.

I think the vets consider Shellie an ally. On that note though, then that may be why Cassie goes up so they can give her the golden key.

From a contest stand point though it probably makes more sense to send Dominic home and then ice Adam with the Golden Key thus taking him out of the next couple competitions.

At that point is fait accompli for the destruction of the little regulator alliance that never really got off the ground. Cassi would have to win the next HOH to probably have any chance of staying.

I like this twist... Like Rachel said, it changes the way you play the game in the beginning. Its not about getting out someone, its more about keeping someone for the first 4 weeks.

I certainly see the strategy in this new gameplay, and so far the Vets have been doing great!! It does change mindsets....and pretty porche is a prime example of that...she just couldn't get it in to her head that she was put up simply so she could get the golden key. She was so used to being on the block as meaning you were either a pawn or target, that she could not wrap her mind around the fact that the HOH actually wanted her to stay!!

If there is a lack of board strategics, I think it would be due to people wrapping their minds around how this new twist works and how to make it work best for their favorite players..

The newbies were only thinking of how to make the golden key work for keeping themselves in the game, while the Vets were thinking of whom they would like to keep to work with in the future.

I believe if the newbies used the twist to keep people in the house they could possibly manipulate when the game turns one on one, they would have been more willing to join the vets in choosing who to stay...and the strategic conversations would have been more interesting from their end.

So that first HOH was crucial to get the ball rolling, and if the vets keep winning we know who at the end of the four weeks will be left in the house. Dom will go unless he can save himself with POV... and he will have to do it all by himself since Adam won't be cooperating too much to save Dom. (I think the weirdest twist is this partner/rival thing, you want to trust your partner while you have to fight him to stay.. it couldn't get any more sadistic).
Same thing goes for Cassie and Shelley, but it should become obvious to the nominees that one of them is wanted out and so it should become obvious that Shelley was chosen to stay because she floated to the other side. Same thing goes with Kalia and Lawon, but this for later, their priority targets are Dom and Cassie.

So after Thursday we'll have 3 more players who can't compete and who can't be nominated. The vets win again... yeah, all of the above will come true. How boring to know it all already.

ITA Spunky..... When we are down to the last GK we will be left with a house that has an already predicted ending/finish. IMO , if in fact, the PTB wanted a Jordan win, we can look to a largely boring, predictable outcome. The only thing that could throw a wrench into the entire game is if, and i say BIG if, B/R & D have other plans that have not been divulged.

ITA w/spunky as well. i can't believe how utterly predictable this season has become in two short weeks. this might be the year where i tune out for the first time. i wasn't too thrilled with the idea of reruns, and brenchel and jorff don't seem to be giving us anything new on the feeds... just the "same old same old" from their initial years. i would much rather get to know a new bunch of houseguests, but it doesn't seem as though we're going to get the chance to do that this year. with shelly and kalia flipping to the rerun side, i think the outcome over the next couple of weeks is predictable. what's even sillier about their flipping is that shelly and kalia had the opportunity to go far with the newbies, and now they're going to be at the bottom of the rerun totem pole. silly hamsters.

Right now it's predictable but it won't stay that way. I don't see B/R and J/J staying together as an alliance for more than a few weeks if that.

I also think Cassi and Shelly could make the game very interesting if they team up with Lawon/Kalia. Dom seems done but Adam could be in the game for a long time if his pact with J/J works out.

Hang in there guys I think it's going to get alot more interesting.

I agree, Shenanagon. They haven't even started to turn on each other yet.

Dom all but begged to be put on the block with his mouthy mcmouthy act - everyone knows he's targeting Jeff. Of course Jordan's going to put him up.

Let's remember that the newbies came into this game with the numbers in their favor. The when Dick left, their favor to win increased by one less vet.

As far as I can see, they really haven't done anything cohesively to take advantage of that fact, so the boredom and predictability is really not the result of the twist.

Even if there was no twist, and the game started out each man for themselves, there's no guarantee this new bunch would have been able to do anything differently.

For me, the twist has added a layer of strategic play which makes the beginning of the game much more interesting...

Heya Scoot...how you been??

I am so enjoying this year so far! I like the couple/newbie/rerun twist and even the golden key adds more thought to who needs to go or stay. Even when the golden keys are gone the guests will have to give thought to who to evict because the golden keys have been laying low but they will need to continue to break up couples. I like that it is a more of a mind group and not just a personality group. So far so good!

While the next two weeks may be somewhat predictable, I think when they get to the 10 is when things will heat up. I think all of the vets are looking to keep people that they want for themselves later.

J/J - I think want to keep Shelly & Kalia with them, to use to get rid of Dani & B/R

B/R - I think are looking at Porsche & maybe Kalia to get rid of Dani & J/J

Dani - I think wants Dom to take out the couples

So, I think they're all just sitting back, enjoying the coverage of the other vets, waiting to pounce. Question is - which ones will get to strike first?

Most of the newbies have played horrible games so far. The at this point Shelly is probably playing the best game of any of the newbies and she is in the best position.

Keith was horrible, Dom is playing like an imbecile, Adam does not know what is going on, Porshe does not care, Cassie is trying but her instincts are way off base, Kalia is just being a semi-floater who will get excised and who knows what Lawon is doing.

Maybe things will change as some of them get more adjusted to being in the house and they are just shell-shocked. That is one juge advantage the Veterans have. The other is ALL of the veterans were very good players in their season either strategy wise, competition wise or both.

Lawon is there for fashion relief.
