No, you're supposed to not let the bear think that you are a threat. Play dead, climb a tree, anything BUT act like a threat by making yourself big and throwing your arms up.

I have always been taught to make yourself as big as possible to scare the bear away. That is also what Google says. Hopefully I will never find out.

I agree... I had to turn off the feeds with the hunting stories. Last year we had Lane, and now this. I know it's legal, but I just can't wrap my head around someone who enjoys killing and watching animals die. I've been this was all my life, and it has always baffled me. I feel that as the supposedly smartest mammal, it's up to us to protect and nurture animals, not get a kick out of blowing a hole in them. I know the whole over population blah blah, but there and many more humane ways to handle it I'd be ok with bear, deer hunting if there were no weapons involved. Otherwise, it's not a fair fight... The one with theweapon wins... What is the challenge in that? Ok, off my soapbox now... I now return you to your to regularly scheduled programming

Gander Mountain is a big sporting goods outlet. My son has ordered some camping stuff from them. I could see Shelly working there.

I can't listen to hunting stories either. I love animals too much. People who hunt have the right to do so and talk about it but I just can't listen.

Most guys in this area hunt and I will admit when my husband use to hunt I did enjoy the taste of elk. Elk, deer, bear etc at least have a chance, cows don't.

Rachel had MANY pics in the lookalike thread last year, both male and female... Boy George was top of the list, but Wynona Judd was a close second, then all the scary, mean-faced, shrieking ones.... (Elvira, Rita Rotten, etc). I think she looks like a homely dude in drag---- they always take it over the top with hair/makeup/sparkly clothes, JUST like Rachel!

I think anyone who dressed like Rachel, wore the heavy make up that she wears would look awful. I've seen photos of Rachel younger when yanno we ALL looked better but she was very pretty when more natural looking.

Forgot to add her hair color isn't flattering on anyone either. Her natural light brown suited her paler complexion better. Now I need to get my own haircut I keep putting it off. Does anyone know why the feeds are on BRB?

I went and looked it up online...that's the only way I knew (because my husband was curious and wondered if she worked at Cabelas as well). I found her Linkedin page. She was also a VP of sales at Henkels knives. They are my favorite! That's all my stalking for now :lol

I've been wondering what Shelly does as well for these reasons. She's been to Taiwan or Thailand more than once and said everyone she's met there is rich. I doubt that would be the case if I ever happen to visit I'll likely meet the locals moreso than rich people. Her husband's a pilot. She does alot of activities and they sound expensive and much more fun than my weekend getaways. She's said she has a great life. She looks rich, acts rich, and is probably rich.

Oh, she also worked as the VP of Sales for Swiss Army for almost 7 years. She has a good life (not that there's anything wrong with that). I like that fact that she wanted to do this show even though she has a lot of luxuries in life where it wasn't a necessity or necessary and she't not trying to get an agent out of it.

funny that she said outdoors sporting company and just not a watersport company (or whatever you would call it). i've never heard of Confluence Watersports. i almost would have put money on cabelas or bass pro shops after the first episode lol

Adam should move here to California-- just saw on the news a local Farmer's Market did a bacon theme! Marshmallows?! They even had bacon-flavored envelopes which read: "everything should taste like bacon"

I think Confluence is a mfg. that sells kayaks/canoes,to larger retailers like Cabelas/Bass(I could be wrong). I don't think they have retail stores.
