This pretty much scares me. I don't know if you guys ever heard of Jade Goody. She was very hated cast member of BBUK for being cruel to celebrity cast member that was from India.. Anyway, Jade tried redeem her image by appearing on the Indian version of BB called "Big Boss"...Just a few days into the show, Jade left the show because of an emergency. It ended up the emergency was that her tests from the doctor showed she had cancer. She died not too long after that from her cancer. What I am trying to say is that it's scaring me that Evel Dick left like this. I have always enjoyed him on the show.

Naja, I was kind of thinking the same thing. Hoping we are wrong. I got to thinking I am sure they have to have some kind of physicals to be cleared for the show. I got to thinking maybe they ran some tests and the results are just in. I think it is the silence that bothers me the most. He is officially off the show, so why no statement from him? Never knew Dick to ever be quiet before. I can see him telling them to tell Dani it doesn't involve anyone in her family. Why worry her until things are clear either way. That of course lead to the speculation of it being his gf. I just keep going back to how long it took them to tell Monica her cousin was missing. Doesn't get much worse than that. Whatever happened with Dick seems to have happened in a rush and a bit on the secretive side.

I'm glad he's gone. His behaviour towards Jen was vile and disgusting, and I stopped watching BB that season.

to tell monica was a difficult decision tho. the horror of it all. I cant imagine being trapped in the BB house and being TOLD about it yet no tools to really process the incredible occurrence. btw i was stuck in another province and was supposed to fly out that day. After the shock of watching the WTC fall, i got my friend to let me check up on BB. I remember many of us discussing it here... whether to tell the HGs or not.

I suspect Danielle getting the pass was part of Dick's negotiation. Either on the spot when he saw the Golden Key as his way out, or else he always planned not to stay on the show and had already co0nspired with producers to bow out of the show early on. Since Dick would generate some buzz and interest early on it was a good trade off for them. I don't necessarily believe Dick conspired with Danielle. I tend to believe their estrangement continues to be real. I think this is another one of Dick's stupid attempts to try and buy brownie points with his daughter, which I think she will ultimately not give him credit for, nor should she. I don't think it makes a big deal of getting a pass to the final 10. It is not like it is a huge leap, and they act like the 4th person saved gets some kind of advantage. They are in the final 10 regardless. By taking one person off already it actually lessens the value of the first one golden key and thus I think is better for the game.

If ED left the BB house because he had to go to jail, then this season just became my favorite BB season of all time!

If that is true, we'll soon find out. Do they list local arrests in that area's newspaper? I know my area does..

Getting back to the original question, I fully understand why Danielle would be given the golden key. I can think of two reasons: 1. The twist of this season is, if one half of the duo leaves (gets evicted) the other gets a golden key. There's no caveat that says the eviction must be the result of house votes. 2. Its not fair to the remaining player if one half of the duo has to leave for medical reasons, or family issues, or going to jail, or for whatever...Dani signed up to play the game, it would NOT be fair to Dani to leave her hanging in the game because something happened to Dick. Personally, I agree with the decision...and if I was Dani, I would want my chance to play the game. I'm sure I would have had to make some major changes in my life to enter the house and to be handicapped the first day due to some misfortune of another player just wouldn't right. Dani is only guaranteed one month...it doesn't guarantee her the game.

although, I will admit: When I first heard of this I immediately thought Dick had this idea all along, to wimp out so Dani could get the golden key. But then I remembered that no one knew about the twist, and Dick sure seemed determined (in his pre house video) and his diary room confession, to be the first double winner of BB. I don't think Dick planned it...

This is one of the lamest twists ever--and almost all of the twists have been pretty dumb. Obviously no one had a plan B if a partner left due to illness, getting kicked out, whatever. They should have brought in an alternate, IMO.

For me one of my most disliked players was Roddy from season 3. I can handle people who are upfront and in your face, but the person who plays on peoples minds, are at least for me, the worst. Roddy was cruel in twisting Amy. While looking up Roddys' last name I came across Tonya Paoni from that season. She's in jail on a million dollar bond for Reckless Homicide. Seems she was involved in a drunk driving situation that resulted in two people killed.

I agree about Roddy, and I felt so sorry for Amy, the way he bullied her. Still, I think ED isn't any better.

I actually like this twist and think its one of the best so far. It really does change the game play. Voting is more about who you want to stay than who to get out. It changes the strategy of all the players in the beginning... I think I'm really going to enjoy this season, which is something I've not felt in a long time. I'm still not sure how the POV will work with this twist though. If Porche and Keith are on the block...and lets say for arguments sake...that Jordan won and took Porche off. Then Rachel would have to put another person up from another team, right? Then the golden key would go to either porche or the other half of the person who is the replacement nominee? Is that how the POV will work? If so...its kinda brilliant...because then the golden key wouldn't automatically go to the originally intended person.. I hope that's the way it works...

I don't understand how the veto is going to work. Does the veto holder remove both people on a team and the HOH has to nominate another team?

From what the houseguests have said, the whole couple would be vetoed and a new couple put up. Example: Jeff and Jordan are up, Brenchel wins veto and takes them down. None of the four could be nominated.Neither could Dani since she has the golden key. They were discussing this last night in regards to next week if they don't win HOH.

i loved roddy, he purely used mind power and subtle suggestion to get people throwing themselves on swords for him. No threats, obscenity or aggressive behaviour, PLUS he was HAWT! however, Dr Will played cruely with people's minds, think Nicole's close to nervous breakdown. Also Maggie had background in psych and Also played the Friendship like Fiddles. She often had them doing the dirty work and made it clear she didnt want HER group to fraternize with the enemy. It made that season very tense.

from ED's above comments its obvious he DID have this planned to keep Dani in house . I dont see one other reason for him to have left PRIOR to feeds coming on.

I take his comments at face value and do not see it that way, Sun. But you know it's all good. I do believe he got some sort of news in the DR and then chose to leave. Not a ploy and not an attempt to help Dani in the game. He would have loved to win twice, that I believe.

Love him or dislike him, I think most of us would agree that Dick is a huge ham. I can't see him passing up the opportunity to show off unless he had a very good reason.
