Quite simply, because being a physical threat is meaningless. This isn't Survivor. Very few challenges are purely physical. So he wins the endurance challenges. Maybe. So what? I don't mean to insult him but he's not the brightest hamster in the cage. He will rarely be a threat in the mental challenges. And finally, even if he makes the final 2, most of the people in the house would LOVE to face him in the final.

Reasons it is smart to keep Jesse: 1. He is way more entertaining, annoying, insulting, and "unique" than the alternative this week. 2. All that bulk will not endure endurance well. 3. His perceptions are very skqued (sp?) by his love for himself so his answers in Q and A comps will be wrong. 4. Considering who is now likely to be on the jury, the only person he has a real chance to win against would be Libra and that is a ? 5. He will be hilarious to watch if he ever gets put on slop. Feel free to add to these.

Good for us or them? For them, it is good because for another week he will be the target of others. Everyone wants him out besides Michelle. For me, one thing. Slop and on the block the same week.

I agree with both of you. (edited to add...all 4 of you) Well, in a way, I can't stand Jessie. But in a way he is entertaining for me in a sort of sick way, like a trainwreck. I feel I should feel sorry for him, but I don't. It amuses me that he thinks so highly of himself when he is actually so so clueless. He is neither a physical, mental, or any kind of threat unless it was a bodybuilding comp. None of that has anything to do with the hgs making a smart decision though. oh well. He is probably easier to read than Angie if she were to play the game and from what I've seen and read, she isn't playing. Another reason to keep him is because he will do himself in...he will give others reasons to put him up and vote him out.

He will be a good person to sit next to at F2.

While I personally dislike Jessie, I agree it was a smart move to keep him. Angie's exit speech was excellent, and showed that she was a bigger long term game/strategy threat. Add in, as others have mentioned, that Jessie isn't as big of a challenge threat as he appears and is making himself very unliked, and he's a great F2 possibility.

Heh! Ks started this thread for last week's choice between Jessie and Angie. Now it looks like Jessie won't even be on the block at all! What reasons could April come up with to keep Jessie around? Sounds like they all going to help him and agree not to have Jerry in the Sequesters' House!

She can say she wants Memphis out; he is the "brains". And lots of people want Jerry on the block (well several of her female allies, for sure). And to be honest, this might be the time for Ollie and April to gather in Jessie, Michelle AND Memphis.. and make a bold move against the others. Two of them on the block and Ollie, Memphis, Jessie and Michelle would have the votes to control the eviction.

Safer would be to target Jerry since several do not want him to stay another week and be in sequester.
